Why dis... you and Jokes pretty much defined why this article is "relevant" in comparing numbers in the European Union..

"Finland represents only 6% of the total European sales"

There are how many countries in the EU? 21 total, so that 6% would be above what the 'average' EU country number would be. (4.2% (per country, appx?)), and if you take out hte UK's 30% (I think that's the number right?) that brings the total down.. to about 3% per count...

Total agreement Dark.. World of Colour was 'enjoyable' to me.. but it wasn't a super level... Haunted Mansion on the other hand... was "WOW!" to me.

See, I'll never understand this argument:

"Lol , at least MS traces unique IP's to account creation "

So MS does something and Sony wouldn't do the same? HUH????

Grim, you're right and wrong in the same statement...

Yes, Sony has been known for their arrogance, but so have a lot of other companies (including other Japanese companies)... but there is no limit to the arrogance that is shown by American companies (including, but not limited to MSoft).

I think back to the "monopoly argument" that the European Union argued against Microsoft. MS basically threatened to pull their entire windows system off every computer ...

Senden, it's different if the average "Joe Consumer" says it. then it could be seen as "okay, price drops are discussed, but not expected, so things are status quo".

But when an opposing executive says it, it appears he's either A) Worried that they don't have a counter action for a price cut, or B) He's trying to shake 'present-day" consumer numbers enough so that the system won't sell at all.

Plain and simple, Greenburg should have NEVER...

i was under the assumption that the Jasper fixed the "primarY" cause of the RROD.. so if i'm reading this right, they (MS) are NOT fixing the higher-end system, but are only fixing the lower priced system?

Am i the only one missing the logic on this decision? Or am I misreading this one?

Actually, i have no qualms with them putting multiplatform games on a list... if a game is good, it's good, regardless of which/how many platforms it comes out on.

PS: For what it's worth, Andy, I'm one of the guys that thinks Ghostbusters DOES belong on this list... (providing atari don't screw it up :) ), but this is coming from a PS3 user, so take my opinion for what it's worth.

If MAG is officially listed as an MMO? I don't think they've genre-classified it yet?

But I'm probably the only one then, NOT looking forward to SW:ToR?

I sunk a fortune into monthly fees for FFXI... but I'll probably do the same for DC universe...

Gotta agree.. the "ready when it's ready" line just looked like a slap at Poly, and it was disappointing considering most of the rest of the article wasn't too far off the mark (other than 2010 date, as that's been 'disproved' by Poly quite a few times in the past.).

Personally, considering they're swearing up and down they're adding real time damage, which will affect gameplay... if it's held back to 2010, I won't mind in this instance. (then I'll actually enjoy racin...

Ju, not sure, but I'd wager there are certain write-in notes in the contract he signed with MS to get it on the XBox system in regards to production, ownership, and publishing rights.

I'd wager that's something Sony would be going over with a fine tooth comb, if this offer ever did hit the table for them.

If there was any -one- game that went from the 360 to the PS3 that I wanted, this would be the game. I've heard and seen nothing but great things about it, and would love to give it a shot.

There's a combination (IMHO) of factors...

A) Site owners have one agenda... to get hits to their websites. Understandable and reasonable.

B) They write up "balanced" articles and get no responses from the loyalists... SO they assume they're not getting responses.

C) So they write up articles that are sure to fire up the crowds, and do so in every possible direction. They see posts/responses, so they know they're getting attention, so they...

Took 'em damn long enough.... If there's one item that Sony rightfullly deserved to be criticized over, it was their marketing/PR pushes.

Every newspaper flier I've seen has had tons of 360 ads, PS2 ads, PSP ads, but maybe 1 PS3 ad.

Almost every gaming commercial I've seen on TV for any game has ended with a "xbox360 now $199" tag on the end of it, and then the x-box logo, as if the game itself was promoted/done/only for the 360.

it was makin...

I'd say the more relevant argument would be the games that cannot be picked up for a PC elsewhere.

Heck, not knocking the "great" games on the XBLA system (which even I'll admit htere are a few of).. but to me there's nothing that matches the one-of-a-kind style of Echochrome, for instance, or the 'old school' with a twist for Snakeball and the Last Guy...

Or the "production value" (as in, could have been a disk-based game) HVB and wipeout HD.

Just to use a music industry standard "billboard" is based strictly on sales... and songs are (to start with), only referred to as "hits" when they top those charts. So I can see why these guys appear to be referring to more 'hits' for the 360...

As time goes on, and a music cd is out on the market for a while, it's "hit" terminology changes over to the good vs. bad in terms of reviews/listeners.

So I'm guessing it's just a question of ...

Once in a while, Fishy.. he gets caught up in the screaming matches. But say what you will about P.H., he manages to turn things in the right direction almost everywhere he goes, and usually via brutal honesty and opinions (even if we don't agree with him all the time).

Like he got Sony back on track with the PS3 after they hit that early slump, i think he is going to get Atari pointed in the right direction)

I'm gonna agree with LordMe.. the first that came to mind when I saw that was not the green, but the on/off switch and MGS:Acid going to the DSi... will it happen ? Dunno.. will just have to wait and see.

Cen, I agree with you. I had a nostalgic feeling for the R-Type download, so when it came out I went out and bought it.. then after a while, I just realized, I kind of wasted my pocket cash on that one.

I definitely disagree with their "weak line-up" argument however... Simplistic games for the most part, perhaps; but to me XBLA has yet made a game that competes with (and it's just my humble opinion) Super Stardust, Snakeball, HVB, Echochrome, TLG, and Wipeout HD. ...

Heck, I didn't even notice Wipeout HD (Siren I can "kind of" understand not being there, considering it was multipart episodes) wasn't even up there... Damn... I think they gotta "recheck their list!"
