God of War, Spider-Man, Doom, Wolfenstein, RDR2, they all make the PS4 Pro fan go crazy.
Sucks because I really like their exclusives but the fan noise drives me crazy. Hopefully PS5 has a much better cooling system.
I was planning on getting RDR2 for PS4 Pro but I can’t stand the jet engine sound anymore when playing demanding games. I’m literally going on my 3rd PS4 Pro with the same issue.
I ended up trading it towards an Xbox One X with RDR2 and so far it’s been whisper quite. I hope Sony puts a much better cooling system in PS5.
Probably the lower resolution on top of the reconstruction method Rockstar are using. The game looks amazing at Native 4K on Xbox One X.

I don’t think anyone should market anything as 4K unless it’s native. So tired of hearing 4K to only find out it’s not.
Great analysis. The game is beyond amazing. Best looking game I’ve seen to date and it especially shines on Xbox One X at native 4K.

Xbox has not only has a massive resolution advantage...
Xbox 1X - 8,294,400 pixels
PS4 Pro - 4,147,200 pixels
But it also performs better than PS4 Pro.
I’m torn if I should just cancel my PS4 Pro bundle and instead get an Xbox One X with RDR2. This is too big of a difference to ignore. Especially on what is likely the best game of this generation.

Only downside is cutscenes where both PS4 Pro and Xbox One X struggle to run at a locked 30fps.

That fact that Microsoft paid to keep PUBG off PS4. So of coarse you’d say PUBG is better.
Horizon: Zero Dawn did something new. Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey is just more of the same. I’d take an open world game filled with robotic dinosaurs over an Ancient Greece setting any day. I also like Aloy as a character better.
If the roles were reversed you be saying the opposite.
Black Ops 4 takes the crown. It’s far more polished and runs much better. PUBG is all but forgotten at this point. They’re much better Battle Royale games out there.
I disagree. Just add a more powerful processor with an improved display and we’re all good.

They’re usually quite in the beginning then they get loud over time. It’s a lottery trying to get a PS4 Pro that isn’t a jet engine.
The only way to 100% fix the problem is a better cooling solution. So I guess PS5 will be the best bet. Hopefully.
