The person was given the notice because he/she probably did not choose overnight shipping. Either that or because the first shipment was sold out and the person now has to wait for the second shipment. Same thing happened to me when I preordered Mass Effect.

I don't hate you at all. I just don't think it's fair to assume that Sony made a mistake by not including 1GB of GDDR3 ram over 512MB's of XDR ram. Nobody knows for sure if 1GB of GDDR3 was cheaper. It would have been awesome if they tossed in 1GB's of slower ram but things didn't turn out that way.
Btw, I don't even own a PS3 at the moment. I'm waiting for the 80GB MGS 4 bundle. I currently own a 360 Elite.
I never said that faster ram was better than more ram. What I did not agree with was that XDR ram was not needed and that Sony should have used slower but less expensive ram. For all we know, XDR ram was probably cheaper than having 1GB of GDDR3 ram. We don't know for sure but Gorgon seems to think he does. I for one would have loved to have more ram than faster ram. 1GB of ram in the PS3 would have been amazing. Hopefully next time Sony decides to throw in 2+ gigs of ram in the PS4.
the problem I see with your original comment is that you're NOT a game coder so you really have no idea as to what you're talking about when it comes to the PS3 not needing XDR ram. Do us all a favor and stop pretending that you know what you're talking about.
MS and Sony should have used DDR1 ram if they used your logic.
How is the 360 one of the best consoles ever designed? There's a pretty good chance of having it RROD on you and if it doesn't, the DVD drive will probably give you problems as well. The console also does not feature a hard drive in EVER SKU so the developers can't even depend on it. Oh well. Maybe next time MS.

these cards are not worth the price. Btw, there was 1-2 people claiming that I was wrong about the cards scoring around 14,000 3DMark 06 points. I bet they feel really stupid just about now. =)

Recent benchmarks were released for the GX2 and it received the same score as the GTX which is probably why Nvidia decided to delay the GX2 till the 18th of March.
This card got 14,000 points with a Core 2 Duo in 3DMark 06. I get 13,325 3D Mark 06 points with an OC'd Intel Core 2 Duo and a BFG 8800GT. No thanks Nvidia!
I really hope MS has more to reveal @ GDC 08 than this crap.
I had a Radeon 3870 before it crapped out on me after just 1 week. As for this card, it's great for the price considering it offers just about the same performance as an 8800 Ultra but I'd rather wait for a card that pwns Crysis.
