was ok... some parts were frustrating, controls sucked a bit but was overall a decent game. The best part of it was the voice acting and animation.
Not sure who the team is, but they did make a Rival Schools 2 I think. After that I guess they decided it wasnt as popular as some of their other big fighting franchises. I thought it was way ahead of its time as far as gameplay... Theres not really a beat em up that I know of that has that gameplay style.

Didnt anyone play Rival Schools? My friend and I played that so much on PS1. The fighting mechanics were classic Capcom. It was like Streetfighter in 3D + arial combat and faster than the SF 3D Ex. All the extra characters you could unlock had some insane moves. I wish they would bring that back.
but after all the awful reviews I didnt want to waste my money on it. I didnt know there was a patch released for the controls though. I might pick it up, its very cheap now.
