Steam is DRM in itself, just a bit less annoying and more popular. It still forces you to be online (Ubisoft anyone) unless you use the buggy offline mode and its required to be on whenever you want to play a game.

Thats like saying that wanting to switch from, lets say eBay, to some other website for selling/buying because its been down for weeks is dumb. A service is a service, and reliability is something that people want.

If your service isn't reliable, then dont except to keep your customers unless you do something to appease them. Even then, some may still leave and for good reason.

Plus, personal information is at risk, always is in a break-in scenario.

This is ridiculous if its going to take weeks and weeks for it to be back online. The PS3 is probably going to lose popularity over this more than likely, especially since people have a very short memory.

Yet another reason for me to see pc gaming as appealing. Mostly in the fact that, its decentralized so one service going down isnt going to affect everything.

Funny how people are still berating people for using macs with the same old tired arguments. That said, many of the strange decisions coming up are starting to worry. Less Java and Flash support, App store, etc. While those things will probably not affect that much, it is still strange.

The most recent version of Windows is actually been pretty good, but to me Mac and Linux are still better in their own way.

Check your ps mail. You probably got the beta invite for Red faction there.

Is AC:B supposed to be released yet? Considering its in beta right now, that is highly unlikely. False advertising? Read the blog post again: It says beta.

Wow, pretty stupid and hilarious that he tries to take the credit for something it seems he wasnt even remotely envolved in. What good has he done for anyone?

Dont blame the video games for the violence that translates into the real world (a rare occurrence anyways). Blame the parents for getting kids those games and the failed rating system.

Also, why does playing as the taliban when they are called the taliban ruffle so many feathers? Look at books, tv sho...

They will have to define what "piracy" is first. The music companies and a whole bunch of others try and define it to fit them and make them seem like a terrible victim. What people need to ask is what people's rights are in terms of what they can do with their property. Almost all things on torrent sites has been bought at one time or another.

People rip DVDs of movies and tv shows all the time. People share music all the time. Both those things are done both o...

Lol, Activision has no interesting IPs anyways. All they have basically is COD, Guitar Hero, and Blizzard games. Nothing new there. They need to actually do something useful as a company before anyone there can say anything remotely like that.

Do they really think that people will want to buy COD 15 in the future?

Lol, such a fail article. Nice to see Microsoft up to their old tricks. Trying to discredit what is more of a plus than a minus. The fact that you have the option to use the controller on move games is not a bad thing, in fact it lets more people enjoy the same thing.

And Move is actually out and has a somewhat good variety of games for it already. Couple that with the fact that many genres are being included, instead of Kinect's apparently casual-only thing, makes it imo...

Stuff like this made me really want to get this game. What else could do such vastly different things? Looks awesome.

Always find it sadly hilarious when you seen parents and lawyers trying to blame violence on video games. It is like they forgot who bought said game.

In almost any case, the parents are the ones who buy those games for their kids. They should do more research before buying something and the ESRB ratings are there for a reason. If you ignore that, its your problem, not the games.

Seems like alot of them are just wanting the government and a whole bunch of oth...

The reasoning that you can be a Taliban for banning it makes little sense. How many movies, tv shows, books, etc have been made/set in Iraq or some other country we've been in recently? Why hasnt COD4, MW2, Battlefield, etc been banned?

Does Microsoft own the rights to Crackdown? If so, developers should stop selling their game rights to companies like Microsoft and find better publishers.

Thats why I said "Until they release a MP demo for this game, I wont even consider getting it after the beta experience.". Meaning, I am not buying the game off of what I saw in the beta, Il wait and see if they release a demo. Also meaning that I am not judging the full game off of the beta, I just didnt enjoy the beta from an entertainment perspective. Also, there were tons of bugs, which I heard have been fixed, but still left a bad taste in mouth.

Some betas hav...

Not really, theyre just trying to force their consumers to try and get a refund from the place they bought it from.

In terms of the beta, I thought it was not that great. In terms of a "marketing" beta, it failed in that regard, which imo, is all these open betas are. Until they release a MP demo for this game, I wont even consider getting it after the beta experience.

Some betas give you a very good idea into what the game is about. This one apparently did not since everyone is saying they changed alot of stuff.

Not really, basically copy off of Uncharted 2 and CSS Warcraft mod.

Valve saying this is the pot calling the kettle black. Steam has tons of issues that Valve just ignores.

The whole thing with game companies hating used games makes no sense to me. They end up getting money anyways since that used game was bought at a new price at some point. The practice some companies are starting to do, with having features that only new games can get is imo just plain greedy.
