That skinny little f@#ker knew exactly what he was doing by trying to soften the blow as much as possible. There is ZERO chance he would fail to accurately capture the difference if it was the other way around.

Lol Microsoft revealed the Xbox Series X way back in December of 2019. You'd think they'd have a price out and taking pre-orders no?

Why would Sony reveal their price first when they're still selling boatloads of PS4s for $299 a piece? Sony's on their own timeline

Here's the problem though, Microsoft revealed the Xbox Series X way back in December 2019 showing both Hellblade 2 and Halo Infinite. So I don't see why Sony would feel pressured or compelled to be the first one to do a price reveal.

Why would Sony need "smart delivery" when the vast majority of their 1st Party games (if not all them) will be exclusively on the PS5 and not on the PS4?

"The Last of Us Part II tries to be profound. It fails"

Ok, so what? There have been over 4000 games released for the PS4 some of which have succeeded in their goals and a larger majority have failed.

Again, so what? Why is this specific developer/game not allowed to fail or succeed like the other 4000?

It seems so obvious why Microsoft is pushing Gamepass very hard (practically giving it away at times) while Sony isn't doing the same. For one company it makes all the sense in the world to go the "Netflix" route ASAP since its other 2 competitors are selling consoles and games by the boatloads while they themselves can't do that.

Let's take a look at what has happened in the gaming market since Gamepass came to be:

Gamepass: 3 years...

I kinda knew that an article like this would eventually make its way to N4g. There was a similar one that failed yesterday.

I guess some websites will use this as fuel to fan the flames of the "console wars" but it seems so obvious why Microsoft is pushing Gamepass very hard (practically giving it away at times) while Sony isn't doing the same.

I was already feeling a bit "meh" about flat games and that made me quite picky about which games I'd even buy (for reference I've been gaming for 30 years) So getting PSVR at launch just made that even worse, lol. VR brought the 6-year-old kid out of me again, and funny enough made gaming in my house much less of a solo thing. Everyone who comes over wants to play it, and as a family, we're always trying to outdo each other's high score on Beat Saber. Until Dawn: Ru...

Yes you're absolutely right about VR. There's still quite a ways to go I'm terms of graphics for VR and I should have clarified that in my post above that I'm strictly talking flat-screen next-gen games.

"yup, I did. I didn't read the article properly, my mistake. -_-
I thought about GPU/CPU when reading title, please ignore my comment."

Yo, you get +1 on respect for that grown up answer. People, especially online, rarely ever admit they're wrong about anything anymore, however small. But you sir just take in on the chin, admit a mistake and move on.

It's a small thing, I know, but it left me genuinely ...

"Probably be a feature i will instantly turn off like vibration"

Press X for doubt.

You couldn't even "instantly" stay out of the comment section of an article discussing a feature you "supposedly" don't care about.

I think we will definitely start to hit that point this coming generation. If we're going by the UE 5 demo (a multiplatform game engine) which is technically geared toward being the middle ground between all platforms, we can already see (at least in my opinion) that things are getting ridiculously detailed. If you removed the character from that demo and just moved the camera through the level, an unsuspecting person would think they're looking at a Planet Earth, or Blue Planet scene...

"Sony is still focused on PlayStation 4 because The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima are major titles. PlayStation 5 can wait a bit longer."

Not only this but making sure that the PS4 goes out with a bang is a HUGE selling point for the PlayStation brand that extends beyond just the PS5. People will for sure remember Spiderman and know which console is associated with it. You may not care for Dreams, but surely you've seen some of the amazing creations...

I hope they can price the Series X competitively so that it can also put a bit of pressure on the competition in terms of their own pricing as well.

Never heard of him before this.

The point remains:
Combine this guy and Digital foundry and it's still 3 million fewer views than The Road to PS5 video.

@ WireMucks

Lol, you should probably reread that paragraph again.

To your other point thought, after playing Farpoint and Firewall online with my cousin I stopped playing BF1 and never even bothered with BFV or any other flat-screen FPS games. To put things into perspective, I spent over 900hrs on BF4.

Maybe if FPS games on the PS5 support gyro aiming then I might give them a try, but otherwise, I'll pass on them all.

@Darth "if you are going to compare metrics from youtube... at least try and be objective. Comparing a PS5 vid (from official sony YT channel) to a SX vid (from a 3rd party channel) is not a good metric."

Microsoft teamed up with Digital Foundry to do an official deep-dive and gameplay reveal for the Xbox Series X, 2 days later Sony did the Road to PS5. How much more related and intertwined could two distinct events possibly be to each other? And who's fault i...

*Oh... That arrogance again. "We will sell more consoles anyway".*

Here's the quote from the article itself:
Sony might not have revealed full details just yet, but it’s clearly already confident about its next-gen plans. “We consider things strategically but doing our best,” said Totoki, reports Bloomberg’s Takashi Mochizuki. “As for pass or fail, I would wait for PS5 sales to make that judgement.”
