Sword & Sworcery in a best of 2019 list!? I think I love this person...
I laughed
IDK... 2007 will always remain the epitome of gaming to me. Although in 2001 the Dreamcast was still alive (somewhat). Hmmmm, this is tough.
This was possibly the weirdest game I've played in a while and I loved it. Yeah, it was short and confusing, but it was just so... weird. Definitely reminded me of the first time I played Omikron. Granted, this game is nothing like that, but it definitely gave that vibe of somewhat familiar, but strange as hell. Fully recommend for costing only a couple bucks.
Am I the only one who read this as Adults Only Tennis at first?
Was kinda shocked to not see Bioshock make the list.
I'm still hoping for a pc rerelease of the original.
For once, i will definitely not mind the obligatory video game tie in.
My review for Doom on Switch: *ahem* It's f---ing DOOM on SWITCH! And it is very playable! ::end::
(note: I have been able to throw down world record high scores on ultra-nightmare with joycons. Come at me with control complaints!)
So sad to see this fail. Finally got to play it for a while last night and really enjoyed it. I think the timing for this test was just not right. Too many big games going on.
Finally! Someone who gets it! Stop comparing this to other versions of Doom. It cannot, and will never be those. This is the Switch edition.
Far from worst. It's just different. Each version has it's own pros and cons. Obviously playing on PC is the best way to play it at home. Switch is the best way to play it anywhere else.
Eye strain from the tiny screen, not the frame rate.
It's really not bad. Yes, you get spoiled at 60 fps, but 30 is far from bad. If you have a Switch, go for it!
This will now be $120 on Doom that I've spent. Don't judge me... I wish id or Bethesda would pay the person responsible for Brutal Doom and commercially release THAT! I'd gladly blow another $60 for that experience on the go. (Okay, maybe $40)
What is it with these headlines!? Read the article and the author had mostly praise for the game. Why even use the word "mediocrity"? I get the play on words, but you're just setting up disappointment. This game is a technical marvel for what it is. IT IS DOOM ON THE SWITCH, and it's very playable. That's all that needs to be said.
I have a job with loads of downtime (selling cars) so I've been enjoying the hell out of my Switch, but I'm definitely the minority.
I think the reason it irks me that people are saying it's the "worst" way to play it is because it just immediately sounds so negative to those that are just skimming headlines. I just find it amazing that I'm playing Doom on a handheld. Granted, I also felt the same way when Bioshock was released on iOS, but we all know how that turned out.
Granted the isn't out yet, I can definitely say I held the #1 score in arcade for the first level for all of a night! I think I'm #3 now...
I’m guessing Borderlands 3 for the rest of them.
