I think MS has had a bit of fortune on its side. They rushed their platform out to beat Sony to store shelves, which was a good strategy. The bad side was RROD and having to foot the bill to repair the systems. Luckily for them, it doesn't seem to have cost them their reputation. That initial decision allowed them to get games first, get devs more experience with the platform, and build their install base. I work at Bestbuy and when I looked on our RSS (inventory) system, I found a PS3 version of Final Fantasy VII. It won't show up on the bestbuy website, but it is in the inventory system. No lie. If you don't believe me, check your local bestbuy and ask an employee to do an advanced search for it. All the stores are linked nationwide, so you should find it.
