you know, in a perfect world, Joss Whedon would write and direct the movie in collaboration with the Naughty Dog team, and Nathan Fillion would star in it, with Emily Rose as Elena, and Tom-muthafucking-Selleck as Sully
pretty awesome, the directing is pretty top notch, and the writing seems good but nothing's really happened yet. It seems sort of like a mix of Vanilla Sky, Inception, and maybe Indigo Prophecy.....I dunno. Either way, it's awesome and I want to see more
Maybe your definition of what looks better is just different than most people's....Seriously, RDR is good looking (for an open world game) but even something like Infamous 2 is already going to look way better. RDR is a R* game, they're more about gameplay than graphics, whereas a company like Naughty Dog with the Uncharted games, they're just the most amazing developers out there, they created the best looking game currently availabe within 18 months, there is no in-game loading,...
in an open world game, you want to make the choices almost every step of the way, even in a chase sequence, since the Uncharted games are pretty linear they can't do this as much, but Sucker Punch really seem to have taken all the possible good influences from games like Uncharted 2 and thrown it into their own awesome mix to make it even better. Can't Wait!!!
that's what I always get from their game reviews (if you can call them that). It's what mood their in, or what kind of game they like, or what system they like. The reviews are absolutely subjective and usually not very well written. It's too bad because they've really torn down a couple of games that were good but their never the ones that have to pay the price, they just sit there are say what they like and don't like with no regard for what it does to the game's sal...
San andreas is still the best open world game out there in my opinion, it's kind of annoying how GTA4 turned out especially because in comparison to San Andreas there was a fraction of the stuff to do in the game and there was also a fraction of the overall fun. And even weirder is that the storytelling seems to have taken a big hit. San Andreas was compelling, original and interesting the whole way through, whereas almost everything after the first third of the game in GTA 4 and RDR gets...
They were also bragging that Crysis 2 would push the ps3 to the limit which was quickly proven wrong as there are lots of exclusive ps3 games that look and play way better than Crysis 2 already: therefore I find it extremely unlikely that they're right about this one either.
Poor Hermen, he's trying to explain the game and explain how to play it but Jimmy is just FREAKING OUT! It's so hilarious when they get the 3d glasses on, I'm surprised that he didn't make Hermen deaf with all the yelling :D
"I LOVE THIS!!! OH MY GOD!!! 3D BUBBLES!!!"
Wow, look everyone, it's a big fat flamer, flaming it up on his flame site. Why has this been posted as news?! Please, tell me why!
the thing that I don't entirely get is why he expects any different from a R* game, they generally are well written and generally are good looking but they've never been much more than very enjoyable time-sinks, although personally, I've probably got a bit of a skewed viewpoint because 1. I loved the story and actually cared for John 2.I love westerns so this game was like a dream come true.....
But it doesn't sound like he actually played it more than an hour or two ...
not necessarily, there are even cougars a.k.a. mountain lions in Hennigan's Stead.
I would love some story-based DLC for the game, or even something along the lines of the GTA IV episodic content, but all set in John's older life so we can really know him as a character.
But the short film, god kill me now. I don't know what happened, it could've been great but while some of the directing was cool, everything else was pretty terrible, only because they skipped over important parts and played around with the continuity of the story, and they ev...
Oh my god, are people seriously that cut off from information?! Killzone: Liberation had jetpack troopers in it years before Reach ever did, if anything, Reach is a copy off of them whereas in KZ3 Guerrilla just wanted to bring back a feature in one of their older games that they thought was cool.
I think it's partially an acquired taste, but might also just adhere to specific style of play, I like the weighted controls but I'm also not generally a big fps player, I never even finished the second or third Halo games because #1 they kinda bored me, but #2 it felt too much like a game, whereas the Killzone games have always felt more immersive and more real, and much less gamey
It's really weird because I almost never do any multiplayer but with Killzone 2 ...
Well said
It's totally idiotic and hypocritical for someone like Miyamoto to say that his company is being copied, he acts like they were the first company ever to create a game console. Everyone's always copying each other in some ways anyway, and their idiots for pointing it out like it was their idea in the first place, it's not like Da Vinci is barking at the people who made the modern helicopter, or like Nikola Tesla is angry at all the people who have copied his ide...
Most games around that time had way too much swearing in them. GTA IV is another good example. Seriously, I know some people that swear alot, but it was embarassing to be seen playing GTA IV in some parts and it didn't help that the pedestrians were constantly swearing too and that Niko would have tourettes syndrome every time there was a gunfight. (stop giving your position away dumbass!)
Red Dead Redemption really rectified this though, GTA IV felt like a little kid w...
so I watched it, and I won't spoil anything for people who don't want it spoiled, but is it just me or do the quality of the writing in the Desmond parts of both games pale significantly in comparison to the ancestor parts? Seriously, using AC1 as an example, I like the Desmond parts a bit but I personally hate Desmond's character, mainly because he seems to be so clueless all the time. He never draws any conclusions for himself whereas the player is constantly drawing conslusions and not ask...
I love that they actually took the time to make a quality voice-changer for Doughnut Drake so his voice is heavier and deeper, it really sells it better
OH...MY....GOD.....Holy Jesus in Heaven, GLITCHES?!?!!?!?!?!?!? I think my world just imploded because somebody found glitches in a game, I mean, it's totally unheard of!!
seriously, glitches are never going to go away, and obviously they don't seem to matter much when it comes to most review scoring, look at Fallout 3, I'm still getting freezing and crashing in the GOTY edition but I'm still playing it all the same
