Best review I've seen for FFXV. From an JRPG fan who knows what makes this genre work, who doesn't skim over the negatives, and then details each part of the experience. Can't wait for the game to release.
Great point in NNK. It's the only console JRPG that comes to mind since PS2 that retains the feel and quality of the JRPGS of old.
In the same boat here with my 20th Anniversary. Think I'm gonna put that back in its box and get a Pro, though. At least that makes me feel more justified in my frivolous purchase ;.;
Yikes.
And that's including pack-in sales with the system bundles.
Agreed! SH4 gets wayyyy less love than it deserves.
"Broken"? Yeah, this is BS.
Hopefully we'll get to play it in the US sometime in the next 4 years :(
It'd be the size of a Rubik's cube lol
It's odd that Nintendo doesn't even go the money-grubbing route and make more games available digitally. No digital expansion for more games, no carts, nothing. Kinda sucks :(
I totally agree with you on mobile devices and emulators being more convenient, but the aspect I appreciate about the NES Mini the most is how it actually makes these retro games look good on a modern tv.
@C-H-E-F In response to your post earlier,
I actually am in the unfortunate/fortunate situation of having an Original Grey PS4 and I refuse to sell it, so the PS4 Pro will be coming straight out of pocket with no sale or trade-in of a previous PS4 ;(
Great article!
I'm experiencing that pain right now. I want the PSVR and the PS4 Pro and I've having to forgo the VR so I can afford the upgraded system this November. If the VR (or Pro) were to release next year I'd be picking both up at launch. I guess Sony is hoping some consumers are going really big this holiday season lol
If we don't spread the gospel of Yakuza 0's greatness, we'll never see Yakuza 6 stateside ;(
Time to go handing out fliers on street corners lol
Super cool for the PlayStation Nation to get one of the scariest games of all time for October. A true classic! Happy Halloween!
Are you doubting Kiryu-san's balance? :P
I wish Yakuza got more attention in the West.
This looks like it's shaping up to be the best exclusive the PS4 has seen thus far and hardly anyone is talking about it.
You can feed stray cats and then employ them at your cat cafe. You can flirt with girls on webcam and get them to undress by being smooth. You can run your own baseball team, and play on it. It features a melodramatic gangster story with Beat Takeshi in it. Forget I said best exclusive...
As a GameStop employee, this is the number one complaint I get from Xbox customers. It's not a good feeling to come and get your game at midnight and know that you won't realistically be playing until 3AM after you drive back home and wait for the install and updates.
This post is going to lead to a lot of self-reflecting :l
It's a real shame Sony didn't keep up with releasing the higher resolution, trophy supported PS2 classics on PS4.
