The initial PS1 controller didn't have the analog sticks.
The Nintendo 64 was released in June 23, 1996.
Sony released the "Dual Analog Controller" in April 25, 1997 which was similar to the Dualshock, but didn't have vibration.

Nonsense. Valve makes very good games! I don't like their position towards the PS3, but I can't deny their talent. Portal is a masterpiece, Left4Dead is one of the best co-op games I have ever played, Half-Life 2 is an incredible FPS experience, Team Fortress 2 is a lot of fun.
I think Valve has made enough good games to be respected as a game developer. They are also one of the reasons PC gaming still stands.

But there is something about pokemon.... that I dunno. It's like a nolstagia thing. I loved pokemon Red / Blue, and then I loved Gold / Silver even more. Then I stopped playing Pokemon. 2 years back in 2007 and suddenly got "the urge" to play Pokemon, so I grabbed Diamond and I simply loved it. Pokemon is simple, but with enough strategy to be fun. STALKER? STALKER didn't have weak shooting :| it wasn't anything spectacular but I wouldn't consider it "weak".
I did play STALKER for like... eh.... 20 hours? or so. Then I got bored, the game felt so... flavourless xD and it was so full of bugs that I gave up on it. I did like the whole "RPG element" thing tough.
The gameplay and story and music are what matters most to me in a game. This game seems nice, but if it has weak gameplay then I am not going to try it :\ too many good games out there, no point in wasting time and disk space with with a shooter that has "weak shooting" :P

Just give me an "Elder Scrolls Oblivion Style" game, with the same kind of controls they used in the E3 demonstration against those skeletons (the bow and the sword) and I will be a happy man. I was so impressed with the motion controls... I have a great deal of hope for this new controller!
After playing Halo 2 I kinda lost interest in this franchise, altough I LOVE the first Halo.

I agree with you that Jedi Acadey is the best action star wars game ever... but saying that Force Unleashed 1 was... ok? The game was terrible :\ just try to jump, it feels so ridiculous, so unnatural :\
The only thing good about that game was Force Push and Force Grip. And even so, it was hard as hell to try and target the Storm Tropper you wanted to grab amongst many.
Maybe because the PC version is worlds apart better than the XBOX360 version in terms of graphics, is cheaper, has free DLC, has free online play, has better online play (dedicated servers) and has better controls? (FPS on a controller... is ridiculous when compared to keyboard + mouse)
For me I don't have anything against someone who doesn't own a PC good enought to run Left4dead 2 and buys the console version. But I do have something against someone who has a choice and decides...
