Interesting comment curtis92. After San Andreas I found GTA to be fairly boring with little depth, but having recently picked up GTA V, I'm really impressed with how much I like it (I didn't think I would to be honest). I think the characters are fleshed out nicely, the city feels alive, I love the jabs at pop culture, driving is more fun and the missions are diverse and over the top. If it was a dedicated game machine, I'd buy it a heart beat. Kinect and cable tv integration are of zero interest to me.

I've been wondering about this. I remember when GTA4 came out and all the 10/10 reviews and blah blah blah but when I finally played it...it got boring really quick.
I'd like to give GTA5 a shot but I can't help wondering if it's more of just the same old.
