I dont think it would make a difference. Resident Evil fans who have PS3s will buy it anyway, demo or not. But they could lose potential new customers.
But anyway this is just a rumour and considering Sony and Capcom are currently in bed together I dont think it will happen.

This is probably something that got lost in translation. I really dont think there will be 360 exclusive demo when the game is being made on the PS3, thats if theres a demo at all.
The whole reason people never enjoyed it as much as the previous games, was the setting and gameplay. It had no atmosphere, and the gameplay just wasnt fun.
If you didnt enjoy the game in the first place, (which most didnt) more of the same thing wont attract people.
Microsoft should of really thought about it before shelling out $50 million on something which they wont make their money back on.
I wish this never got delayed in the UK on Ps3. I was really looking forward to getting it. Good score too, looks like we'll have to wait till January.
Some people seem to be forgetting that the xbox is on its 3rd christmas in the UK, and the this is Ps3's second. And PS3 is still holding its ground against a console thats less than half its price. So its not all doom and gloom for Sony, its just that microsoft are nearly 2 years ahead so its common sense that they are ahead really.

Notice how many european reviews are now coming through, and they seem to be averaging 9+ Compare that to the American reviewers giving it 6-8's, proves how most video game sites are run by fanboys, and how much devotion America has to Microsoft.
Yeh exactly, we have a bigger install base and still get treated last. I was gunna buy it this week, but not any more due to the fact i will have resistance 2.

Well I think the ps3 version will outsell the 360 just like fifa 09 did. Asda were doing WAW for £27.99. And the Ps3 version was selling like mad, I must of saw 10 people buy it in 10 mins, and most of them were buying 2+ copies ( I bought 3). I didnt see 1 360 version selling and there were loads of them stacked up on the desk.
This game really never stood a chance anyway. If it was realesed in the next week or so it would be destroyed by Call of duty and Resistance 2, and when it gets released in January it will be destroyed by Killzone 2.
Plus anyone who really wants it would of already imported it.
