I just think cloud gaming is way ahead of its time but, one day it is going be the norm. These companies obviously think the time to invest is now. It is definitely fun for me to see them try to get enough customers to sustain the business.
Linux gaming gained more support than usual these past few years because they ignored Windows.
I just got the ps4 version on sale and ran into a few issues.
Examples: Server Lag, Seeing through walls and not being able to redeploy.
Note: The last system update from Sony was terrible. I had games installed like Need For Speed with a Battlefield Icon. Maybe this caused some of my issues.
Xbox:
I will buy an X-One if they drop the Xbox live requirement to play online. Just saying, if they want to sell more consoles. That is my reason for not buying it.
Wii-U:
Redesign the console,drop the price, or both. Then I will buy.
PS4:
I bought it because it offered the best bang for the buck.
Games every month with PS Plus and awesome hardware specs.

I blame it on the multi-platform release. They went for quantity over quality. Game may still be good but, never as good as it could have been. Atleast nowadays they could technically patch it later after they get the $$$ they desperately want.
They are winning at losing this generation. They are so far behind in terms of software, hardware, and online infrastructure. It's like they are thinking short term while Sony & Microsoft are securing their part of the future.
-Nintendo still has a bunch of money in the bank from being conservative so it is not all bad but, certainly disappointing from a gamers/developers perspective.
Some prefer paper over digital guides because they have lots of details outside the main missions, easier to read, very organized, etc.

This delay was due to them wanting more money. They wanted a good percentage of customers with little patience to buy the console version twice (while avoiding piracy) and then a third time on PC.

Yes, this is going to be like AMD Mantle. I did some research and games do not increase by 50% in performance but, will be much better than DX11 so congrats to MS. This will be good for everybody.
On PC, It usually will not be more than 5% for something like this. So I don't believe it one bit. I just think it will be easier for most developers to make great games.
It may just be better for the average consumer to buy a ps3 and a couple of games.

I bought PS Camera at launch @ original price. Sony does not support it like Microsoft does Kinect. So far it has nothing going for it. The commands don't work within apps and only 1 game was released for it. It is only good for Ustream and Twitch. Nonetheless, this is a much better deal than when I bought the console.
Ultimately, They need to focus on getting the console on peoples hands. Another suggestion would be to create a permanent PS4-Vita or Vita-PS TV bundle.
