$10 is perfectly reasonable for a game like this. I'd much rather have price be based on quality/size than an arbitrary number. Besides look at the Wii downloadables. Now THAT is a rip-off.
As opposed to what? A DS?!
Not until US connections are improved. Right now they're freaking sliding backwards with bandwidth caps. Streaming isn't going to take off until speed goes up and bandwidth caps go away.
Trying to charge for an RTS would be suicide. That would be a quick way to kill their massive world wide fanbase.
And exclusive on PS3 would be nice. GTA4 really suffered from being on both. I own all systems so I definitely like to see all effort put on one version. It REALLY shows.
I've played at least the demo of every game on that list and they're definitely not worth the time at whatever price you get them for. Except for Condemned. That is a damned good game.
Where the hell are they getting all of these?
Seems about right overall. Excluding businesses and schools its probably closer to %80 though haha.
Thing is of that %41 maybe %6 would have actually bought the legit version if illegal copies weren't available. Like absolutely no one would buy photoshop if you couldn't steal it.
Should've finished this. Looks pretty awesome.
At the least they need to make everything they did open source. So we can play what they got and maybe even some mod team would finish it.
They've yet to come up with anything that's actually better than a KB/M. You only have to move your hand inches to have full control over the cursor and it's not going to be easier typing on a flat surface.
Those are some nice PC shots. I'm sure the 360 version is just going to be ugly and crappy as every other PC/360 game.
At first I though this said Ayn Rand.
It's mostly that they really screwed up with GTA4. Still a good game but it lost most of the chaotic charm of the previous ones. And also the zero traction driving didn't help playability at all. They just need to focus on a smooth and fun to screw around experience.
Just as long as you go into it knowing you're paying $400 for hardware and $450 for Apple's "cool" image. Same thing with $75 in gamecube hardware and $175 for the Wii image.
I can't wait to get the Macbook Wheel.
It's their own damned fault. Publishers are clinging to an outdated distribution format and price point. Digital download services are great and how I buy most games now. Problem is unless there's some special sale they cost MORE than buying a hard copy.
And who want's to buy a disc version filled with tons of BS DRM? Hackers break that within days of a game releasing and upload a pre-hacked torrent. DRM is futile and only punishes legitimate buyers.
BTW Torrent dow...
I HOPE it works and succeeds. But I think it's going to not work worth a crap and fail miserably.
When you consider that the average Japanese person lives in what we would consider a closet this makes sense.
If you don't count the whole year. Killzone2, MLB09, and Infamous have been amazing. And where's Heavy Rain? 360 is definitely going to have a slightly better fall season but for 2009 overall PS3 is slightly on top.
And I'm not sure why L4D2 is even on this "exclusives" list. Any near modern PC can run it and that's definitely where anyone with sense would play it. I've played both of the original and the PC is far any away better.
