I honestly wasn't impressed with the MS or Nintendo conferences. MS did show some good games, but nothing new at all was shown other than FFXIII going multi. Big announcement for them yes, but negligible for me since I'm still getting the PS3 version.
If an MMO can support 256 plus players so can MAG. Not to mention Sony has some experience with managing huge numbers of players online (SOE comes to mind).
Time to rack up some bodies, and some trophies, cannot wait for 1.5.
Either way Sony wins, and by extension so does every PS3 owner. The article makes a lot of sense, and I would personally hate to see SE go down the bankruptcy path again. A lot of recent gamers forget that the sole reason Final Fantasy exists is because it was quite literally Square's last chance to make a game before hanging it up for good. As a gamer I'm glad that that last chance did succeed and changed the gaming world for the better as a result.
Major overeating, but that seems to be the norm this gen. As the article writer said, this is a classic case of a knee jerk reaction.
Did not see that coming, not even a little.
That would be so awesome, bubble up for the imagery. I agree also, I think they will do very well this year as well. Looking forward to hearing more about Killzone 2, LBP, and the new Pixeljunk game.
No problems with my launch 60GB model, still sorry to hear that some people are still having problems.
All this news about freezing had me concerned this morning since I have the 60GB model, but I installed the game and everything is working fine, and that was over 5 hours ago. I'd call BS but you never know, if true I suspect its just a bad batch of discs, or as stated some random firmware issue.
Running strong as the day is was unpackaged.
Thinking I was the only one having this problem. I honestly started to think I was starting to dislike video games (although I knew that was impossible). I totally understand where you are coming from dude.
Well done Sony well done, the Home integration should be very interesting. Either way very good news for the PS3.
I had no idea the technology was this far along. Cannot wait for it to come out later this year. At $300 thats a very good price for such a fine piece of technology.
Just glad this format war is decided.
This is a massive blow to HD-DVD, but its about time. With this we can all move together towards the bright HD future. Now all thats left is to wait for the rest of the companies to sail into the clear Blu waters. Well played Blu-Ray Disc Association, well played.
Thanks dude, bubbles for the vid.
The numbers don't lie, Blu-Ray is clearly what the people want. All Warner needs to do is just join up with the BDA and we can call this war over, and we can all move on towards HD goodness.
Right behind ya dude, going out right now to pick up my pre-order.
Looking forward to seeing ya on the battlefield. Also the Omega Factory looks WAY larger than any of the existing maps. Remember hearing this is coming this December, hope that is still the case.
They need to throw us a demo or something, the anticipation for this game is killing me.
