hmm this might end in a horrible mess... Some want english, others are fine with Japanese and subs (my preferred) but forcing backers to choose between them, possibly making an impact on future buyers is not a good solution.

They put a lot of effort into getting third parties but it is not wise to pay for cross platform games (which they obviously know), when you know your platform isn't the attractive one. What Ubisoft, EA, Activision would release wouldn't sell anyway. Most who owns a wii U (including me) owns another console too like PS3/4 or Xbox360/One, there would be no reason to get the Wii U port what so ever.
They have approached us with a future console, it might not be the future console you expected, likely because you wanted a power beater against the PS4 and Xbox One. Power doesn't always need to be the issue, and quite frankly is a bad excuse in most cases. You need to adapt to the resources you have been given, and make the necessary changes for your game to work great and look good enough to be proud of it. If that doesn't work for you, then you might just accept that your project ...
Seriously wtf... I don't see why we shouldn't "cry" as it's psychical content for a collector edition. There's a reason i choose to get retail special or collector game editions, it's not the digital cosmetic or horrible advantage bonuses. I pay for CE's because they often have lovely statues, awesome art books, figures, chains, cards. I expect price drop for less goodies.

It's a lot of work for only one guy but yeah everything is possible with the right amount of dedication and time.
Depending on what kind of person he is, he might or might not lose interest in the project. I personally hope he will finish or somewhat finish it.

The trailer doesn't sell the game very well, i'll have to admit but I know the Knytt series and it's awesome! I also own Knytt Underground on PC and it's great fun. You have to play it to judge it IMO :)
Well it's understandable, I have never seen request for dark souls 2 for the Wii U. I would personally buy it myself if they released it on the Wii U though.
