OS crashes are different than 3rd party program crashes. It could be related to shoddy programing, malware, compatibility problems (with hardware, software, and/or your OS).

BSODs are considered "hard crashes" while a program simply failing to respond or one that has "errored" out is considered a "soft crash".

Sure, both crashes could be related to one another, but they are not the same type of crash. 90% of the time if a program crash...

I always get a good laugh out of people who say OS X is so much more stable than Windows. The ONLY Windows OS I ever thought was complete garbage, was Windows ME. Windows 3.1, 95, 98 and 98SE were all good in their own right, but had various limitations and flaws as did the Mac OS at the time. I used the Mac's a lot back then for various graphic and 3d work in school, and was always amazed at the instability of the OS.

I know this is old, but I've been doing research on the different xbox 360 revisions...and stumbled upon this post. Last year sometime, around the Halo 3 launch, I bought the Halo 3 limited edition 360 and sold it because upon opening it up and doing the research THEN, I found it was not a falcon console, and thus, not did not have a 65nm CPU or the updated heatsink. It was definitely a Zephyr. From what I'm seeing, the best way to tell is to look at the power adapter to see the wattage. ...
