You, Miss, are informed. I wish more people did their research like you do. I'm a fellow centipede :D Will be voting Trump.

How do you liberals feel about my being of mixed race, and one who immigrated to the states LEGALLY back in '95? My parents had to wait 18 months from the day that they submitted their applications before they could fly over here, and then another 5-7 years to be eligible for citizenship. And you guys want- never mind, I'm getting all revve...

Having been informed of the technology that goes into this aspect of SC, I'm sure you haven't ;)

It didn't work on me. I have a newly built PC that I sold my ps4 to help pay for. The only thing that still draws my I is a Crash Bandicoot remake, and whether or not GT Sports physics matches Assetto Corsa's.

The industry standard for sound in racing games is held by Raceroom Racing Experience. The sound in that sim matches the fidelity of GT Sports graphics.

btw the only actual sim coming out on consoles is Assetto Corsa this august. The rest are simcade to arcade. This is from a playstation fanboy who put a lot of hours into GT5 before heading over to PC back in 2013, because I heard the action was more realistic over there - I heard right. Automobilista, Assetto Corsa, Racer...

I went from GT5 to Assetto corsa on PC a couple years ago. I never looked back. The physics and force feedback combined with the laser scanned tracks and obsessive attention to detail in the car models and cockpits, will make driving in this game unmatched on console -guaranteed.

If you want 1000 cars with a basic physics model and lame sounds, go GT. But if you care about the driving experience above all else, and can appreciate the time and attention put into each car th...

A game that is like Motorstorm Pacific Rift will destroy lives. I want to get down and dirty in the mud again, while flying off cliffs and through waterfalls, in offroad vehicles.

not the whole world, just SJWs whose whining, amplified by social media makes it SEEM like the whole world freaks out.

This game is VERY underrated. I like it more even more than Samurai Shodown. One day, someone should do an HD remix of it with redrawn high resolutions sprites (not some cheap blurry/upscaling filter).

@triverse That would be news to me. I've read Mike's post where he mentioned that that Kevin's system does -not- compete with the rvgs, and even explicitly states that Kevin, had he not "thrown them under the bus," could have gotten paid by them AND launch his own project, with no fear of the two projects affecting each other.

"treatment" of Kevtris? They let him go because he cited his own project as evidence of the team's incompetence. Maybe the team WAS too incompetent to come up with a working prototype, but there is also the possibility that Kevtris created a false equivalence in which people were lead to believe that one person making a simple fpga exclusive board means that a team of three could have created a (possibly far more complex) fpga + ARM fully functional consumer-grade home console p...

Yeah, some definite specs and a working prototype would probably have sent this campaign well on its way by now.

Good point about the resources, but I think in this case they have at least that part locked down. Since they are dealing with hardware from "simpler times," while operating in an age where hobbyists can design boards using software, and have companies print them off, it is probably the easiest part of the process, after printing shells from ready-made ja...

I have a bachelor's in Business and I'm doing a Masters in Computer Science. Having studied operations's management, supply chains, distribution channels etc on the business side, and then onto application programming, information technology and basic circuitry on the CS side, I can say that the project is worth the price, but it is not immediately clear why to the regular consumer.

It doesn't help that the Retro Team has opted to be transparent, which means t...

It's Vice. They've decided to enter the gamingsphere with the same intentions as Polygon and Kotaku. From what I've heard, they've even hired Leigh Alexander and touted her as being a part of their "Dream Team."

So get ready for the agendas, hyperbole, straw-men, and a brand of writing demonstrative of a disconnect between those who love and play games and those who just write about them because they can't write about other things, which is char...

regardless of how horrendous the game might be, it is unfortunate that the devs compromised their vision for the game, simply because some people thought they had a right to change other people's work that they themselves probably weren't even planning to buy.
