"The eye candy may be upgraded these days, but the shooter-by-rail series feels less like the first trip in a new city and more like the same old monotonous commute you’ve had for the past ten years."
A member, yes. I'm not officially affiliated, but I like to link their stories.
Oops, comment fail.
Did you read the article? The author claims that mere (and unnecessary) repetition of the story is a linkage by that fact.
Battlefield 3 is already in production! They are going to reveal it soon. This is in response to a rumor that EA is announcing a different Battlefield game on Friday, in addition to Battlefield 3.
I think the article addressed everything you said!
They didn't say you're WRONG for making an educated guess about whether or not you'll enjoy the game, since people tend to have an idea of what they do and don't like -- they just made the point that you can't know for sure until you actually try it (you might be surprised).
As for the tech -- I think Kinect has been shown to work in a normal gaming environment... at least the tech demos ...
if it doesn't do what it's actually advertised to do.
Actually, the article does address MS's hype machine, but they even say that Microsoft's marketing hype doesn't count in evaluating the device because it doesn't tell us anything about whether the thing is any fun to play.
Can you elaborate? how has it failed over and over again?
I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm actually curious -- I haven't heard anything about it failing in applications.
I just listened to this and it's rather goofy, but the hosts have a lot of promise. I look forward to future episodes. Lots of color commentary.
It is a funny read :)
Looks good. I might consider this for my next round of laptop.
Sure, it's satire... not the usual, but it sort of speaks to something true about the DNF series. It's a hilarious read.
Right on!
PC has incredible value. Mods are a great example of that.
If you like indie games, this is a great column to read. Matt always gives wonderful narratives about indie games. There have only been a few so far, but it's turning out to be a great column.
Can't wait to play this.
Minecraft is an absolutely incredible PC game -- the graphics are simple, but the gameplay is crazy. ANybody who likes to be creative in their games will love this. This narrative is pretty funny, too.
Oh man, I can't wait for this.
It's only been what, 20 years?
Glad you liked it -- I did too. Looks like most people in the comments missed the point so-to-speak (unfortunately).
Also, this was my favorite picture in the article :)
I agree, el zorro.
Looks like most people here didn't read it, and just wanted to make a claim for PC or Mac (which is funny considering what the article says about fanboys!)
"The 3DS still uses gay friendcodes"
People still use "gay" as a pejorative? It'd be easier to take you seriously if you didn't sound like a 12 year old in the 90s.
