I still think they could show it at least power on, even bricked. This design reminds me of my 80gb 2nd gen Zune. I think this is just a proto type being tested out of a few models. I hope this isn't the final version (crosses fingers for slimmer iphone).
Just like anything else you can have more then one proto type before the final design.
My only issue with this is why is there no shots of the phone turned on or OS? It looks like the internals are all in there but no icons or OS version shots. They said they where playing around this device for a week, couldn't one of them figure out how to charge and turn it on? Also why would it be so thick, aren't they trying to thin it? Aren't reviewers suppose to review games based on predetermined categories? Since when does game advertising and price come into play on a game review unless there is a value category now. Reviewers are suppose to review a game, it is up to the consumer whether or not it's a value or not. This goes for any game not just ODST.
The Zune HD can beat the touch. However, it's going to take a while since you have to change people's minds into thinking a Zune is better and convince them they need one over a touch. MS is in a long uphill battle that will require time, money, and patience just like they did with the Xbox. It would be good if MS launched a Zune phone but given the amount of money they have to spend on the Zune HD it maybe be a while. I agree with the numbers but there is one thing missing the install base GT for the PS2 has a 100+ million install base, COD 4 MW only has around a 55 million base (PS3 and 360) less at the time. Based on that MW has a higher percentage of sales to base. I think both games will sell fine just wait for the numbers at the end of the holiday season to find out who takes it.
It makes sense for Sony to do this, team up with google. The e-reader is being beat by Amazon's kindle because Sony's book store is dwarfed by Amazon's. If Google wins then Sony's e-reader will have Google to supply the books and Sony will sell the hardware for those books.

I thought that was only here in the US no MMS but everyone else has it just like tethering. Maybe someone will sue them for not allowing 3G versions of slingbox and other apps both Apple and AT&T banned for using 3G due to bandwidth/infrastructure issues.
I do agree, It is funny when they say it's new on the iphone (capabilities other phones always had) but it's still true, I just wished they would keep up and not added them in every year in small increments when a new model...
Apple should win because they charge more so I would expect more quality and better customer service support. I have never used their customer service but my macbook pro works like a champ.

Yes, I agree open document does support word. Not at 100% though, if you edit a document and use it in word your fine. If you don't do things like embedd macros etc.. from word your fine. If you do then you going to run into issues. That's why open office is good but people still get word for work. I use 2007 and .docx, it was less an issue with regular .doc.
LOL, that's true the only problem is that word is so advanced if you take a word document it's not 100% compatible from documents at work due to embedded data and formating :( so when you use it on an open source program then bring it back to word there will be formating issues.
Yeah, I'm sure it will get over turned that's overly excessive for a ruling (the stop selling word part). It doesn't matter since while it's being appealed they can continue to sell it. That's just the way business works these days, get a patent then wait for someone to violate it then sue regardless if they know or don't know about it, easy money.....

WEP is for encryption and doesn't do anything for your connectivity. Your wireless connection is actually faster without using it. So if your wireless is shaky it's a connectivity issue WEP won't help that out.
I agree, they should get rid of the arcade and push the pro to $199. MS use to offer a 20gb HD for $20, maybe they should upgrade all arcades for free. It makes MS look good by doing it and now developers aren't restricted by HDless 360s. Once the Pros are $199 now they can really push the market place for movies and games. Just my 2 cents.
I own a macbook pro and a bunch of vista boxes. It is well known (I work in this community) when they have hacking competitions, using a mac, a windows box, and a linux box, the mac goes down first fairly quickly, followed by the windows box, and sometimes the linux box depends on the days. Not taking sides here but when I do the math based on these numbers the 360 is up by about 8.6 over the PS3 in lifetime sales so I'm not sure how people are getting 6 or 7. The Wii needs 5 million to double both of them.

I don't think Zune HD will compete to much with Netflix more against your cable provider or companies that provide on demand. Zune HD streaming will provide new movies for streaming while Netflix provides them on disc. The older movies, tv shows, and some new shows are available streaming from Netflix. I'm going to add my 2 cents. I think they should give you an opt out button if your a gold member, so then you have a choice to see the ads or not. If your silver then you get ads and every so often get a free weekend of online gaming for it.

Apple got with AT&T inconjunction using the wifi/3g connection on the phone (assisted GPS) on the phone. So the apple ninjas used that feature and switched it out. It was joint operation.
