i hope movie buffs do buy the ps3 for bluray movies because judging by how many people watch dvd's thats a install base sony want to get into, just a fraction of that base will see ps3's soar into tens of millions of homes.
and i guarantee those movie buffs who have kids will then inturn buy a game like little big planet to keep their kids happy,singstar when friends are over and maybe even MGS4 just to see what the fuss is about.

blu ray does affect 360 due to the surge in consumers who will buy a ps3 due to the fact it being the most future proof bluray player plus the bonus of being able to play games
and for gamers its a blessing because we get to watch the winning format as a bonus if we feel.
