Mine was sent yesterday, not arrived at depot yet. And Amazon sent it via city link, the company who's tracking always says we tried to deliver but no-one home on at least 4 separate occasions. Optical will get you lossless HD stereo and up to 5.1 channels at usually 48khz (lame!)
Please enlighten me as to what a true audiophile would use. This is a dealbreaker for anyone hoping to use the ONE as their ONE media hub. This needs to be addressed pronto. Otherwise its a slightly gimped games machine and a totally useless media center. If you split the audio from the picture before connecting to the one you could end up with serious sync issues. This is laughable.

There along with no split screen(was really excited by the prospect of Vita+PS4 multiplayer), goes any reason to buy the game. I'll just wait for it to appear on PS4 IGC a year from now. (If they'll have it)

I've read a lot of their patents, and very few are this extensive. I wouldn't be surprised to find this being implemented and quite soon.
Sony appear to partnering with Virgin Media, AT&T etc, this could easily be a portion of their partnerships with them, they both offer both internet and tv services.
I wonder how airtight the U.S patent system is and how much leeway there is to implement a similar system, because I would totally expect the XB1 ...
It's just a shame they didn't support it for the last three years.
