Just to let you know, if you look at the book again, all of those one star reviews have been removed. At least, that's what happened when I refreshed the page.
But who really cares about a GameSpot review? It used to mean something when a game got Editor's Choice from their site. I used to trust them and enjoy reading the reviews. I thought it was a sad day when Greg Kasavin left and it seemed to go downhill. Now GameSpot can't even be trusted. They really hurt themselves recently. I don't think they'll ever earn my trust again. So...to Catastrophe...I appreciate the contribution, but GameSpot reviews are no longer "newsworthy".
Didn't Atlus publish Ogre Battle and Tactics Ogre? Think it would be kinda nice to see a refresher for that series. Not a full fledged sequel, but a decent strategy game in the likes of Disgaea would rule! Band of Bugs just doesn't cut it.
Scene It! has been around for a long time. It's just not using DVD's and boardgame pieces. The only thing that is similar is the controller. For crying out loud!
doesn't mean that I am playing for achievements. And I'm not really offended by criticism from a guy named Smokey McBlunt. McBlunt...You're a douche! Plain and simple. Really...If you want to judge me on what gives me enjoyment (games, marriage, etc.) then expect to be judged on what little I know about you.
Buzz is a general trivia game. Scene It! is a movie trivia game that was originally a board/DVD game. Having never played Buzz, I don't know if the game mechanics are similar. My guess is that they probably are. I played the Scene It! demo and it works kinda like the sports bar trivia games (anyone know those?). But just because the controllers are similar doesn't mean that the game is the same.
And my wife trumped my gaming purchase this week. Should be fun when friends come over. ACHIEVEMENTS!!!! Woo!
Wii Tennis didn't "get people into gaming." Wii Tennis got people into...Wii Tennis! You're telling me that the people out there, that play Wii Sports (and not normally a "gamer") play Zelda, Resident Evil? My guess is probably not.
But to say that Wii Sports is the most influential game? Naaaawwww. That's like saying that Wii Sports is GAMING - END ALL BE ALL. No it isn't. How do you measure "influential" ? Sales, reviews, artistry, word of mouth?
Defining and most influential? Wii Sports? I think not, really. Fun yes. But defining and influential game? No.
But then I chose not to. Thanks Phish!
Wanna go for achievements?
LOL
I've only helped get achievements once (and got some myself). Personally....I don't really care if other people are doing it. Like Daxx said, more kills for me. And it's not like it's a team match anyway. All the achievements are in the Lone Wolves matchmaking. So it really is only affecting the person doing the "achievement whoring". Not to mention that the people that get the achievements are probably going to go right back to playing normally right after they get it. Is it REALLY...
That a dude ran around shouting the ending of Harry Potter. It's still in bad taste, no matter what you're spoiling.
There hasn't been much as far as news goes. All I saw was the trailer that said "The most epic RPG of all time". When someone claims that....who knows.
I'm heading out on Thursday for this. Should be one helluva time!
Online play has been confirmed. I don't have a link, but it was announced a while back. Online for both 360 and PS3.
That's pretty good. Soulcalibur IV shouldn't disappoint!
What the hell is going on. Every freakin' store has their own little pre-order thing going on. Crickey...Just let us buy the freakin' game!
I'll be spending my 800 points for it.
