I proved your point and you missed mine. How many people here are paid to increase sales for any large corporation? Who here is in the Microsoft brainstorming session when they're planning new ways to make money? Who here lives in Japan and on a daily basis works at Sony Inc. to increase their market share? Ignoring the fact that you're losing money for junk is silly unless you're making a lot more in return. BluRay isn't needed like floppy disks should've stayed.
Uncharted 2 wasn't stellar? You judge games based on units sold but not on satisfaction of paying customers? Uncharted is the fastest selling, if not best selling, title on the PS3. The people that have played it call it one of the best games ever made. People that haven't played it don't count in the equation. I have never owned a Slap-Chop. That doesn't mean it isn't stellar. And my lack of purchase is by no means a critique against it.

Show me one game on Xbox360 that looks and sounds as good as Killzone 2 or Uncharted 2. Then compare that same game to the God of War 3 demo. There is a significant difference.

Pro tip: Check WalMart when new movies come out. You'll beat someone in the face when you see that new BluRays usually cost $20-$25 and have a digital copy AND DVD copy included. New DVDs are still $20. They come with a plastic case and a nice cardboard-type covering.
Comments like these are great in Microsoft board meetings. Pat each other on the back. You've won some market share. Comments like these suck for the consumer. Their market share does nothing for me when I spent money that I earned on something that was meant to be thrown away in the near future.

How many years after PS2 was released was God of War 2 released? Did they add more to that game than to any PS2 game before it? I am asking because that example makes it seem as if it takes a while for developers to learn how to make games for the system. Mass Effect came out near launch for the Xbox360, right? Comparing it with Heavenly Sword is a great idea. It would be funny if Mass Effect came out 2 years after the 360 though. Two full years.

That isn't true. But I do know where you're coming from. A lot of the larger retailers (BestBuy mainly) will calibrate their weaker screens when the time comes to move them out. They sell better when you say "But look at the quality compared to the tv that costs twice as much". If you had equally cared for screens, one being 720p and the other 1080p, then 1080p would be superior. There is no way around that fact.
