This is pretty innovative. Blizz is involving the community in a way I haven't seen before! Hmmmm.
Two things I need to point out:
1. WoW, like other MMOs and RPGs, is a game in which people make characters that wander the land, killing people and then taking their money. Dead characters are often stripped of their clothing, armor, and other weapons. These are called "loot drops". It is the most fundamental mechanic of the game.
2. Bartle is changing his story in regard to his 'torture' objections. His initial objection was oddly emotional. Gamers ...

Yep, thought so. StarCraft II has a hard, 2009 release goal, per the developers. DIII? No goal...maybe 2010, maybe 2011.
The article is very tight, and very accurate. I just returned from PAX, where we interviewed 3 different Blizz reps about the 3 big games. They mentioned the Battle.net upgrades specifically, and how they think they are going to contribute massively to the online gaming experience with Blizz games. They are working HARD to make Battle.Net a positive, very easy to use bit of software.

...but it may explain why the Mythos open beta is 3 months overdue. Met with the community manager in February, and he clearly stated that the Mythos open beta would hit soon, very possibly as soon as March...and now it's June and the open beta is still not here.
Could this be due to the loss of developers?
The BH class definitely sounds cool; the way they are handling the jetpack is perfectly in line with the way bounty hunters are in the star wars universe, and it just feels right.
