I would also give the game 7.5 and would recommend the download if you have friends over and want to try something different. Its a blast with a group of people. The only thing I dont like about the game is that you have to complete the tutorial.
you think digital downloads wont have DRM attached? If you think that then just wow please dont post anymore. Let me see you take your digital download and copy it to a dvd to play at friends house on his dvd player. To your post earlier, there was no 500 million dollar payoff. I think Sony didnt include rumble at launch because of their lawsuit with Immersion and then hyped the sixaxis feature to make up for it.
I play online and when I party with friends we constantly have to re-zone so we can all see each other. What I find worse is the terrible memory leak. The game crashes on me atleast once every hour. The subscription services is a bunch of crap. I hope they get rid of it and let everyone enjoy the extra content. Besides the serious issues they have having I think its a great game. It should be re-reviewed in another three months.
I bought this game day one, and I would give it a 4/10 with all the errors right now. When they fix all the bugs I would give it a 8/10.

I think you may be confused about players becoming "obsolete". Most players are going to be upgraded to 1.1 if they have the appropriate hardware. All of them will be able to play movies fine, just the extra features wont play.

sounds to me like because he thought the controls were to complex he didnt have fun. I actually prefer the L2 and R2 keys for spin rather the the Wii's random motion controls.
