They probably have some kind of method of identifying individual discs.
If a thousand people are using a disc with the same ID then the banhammer comes down. It's only a guess but thatshow I think they find out the pirates from legitimate users.

I might get this one. I've been looking for a more 360-ish controller without losing any of the functionality, and most controllers that I know of don't support sixaxis.
The only thing that's stopping me from getting a PSP at the moment is that we rarely seem to get the cool special editions and bundles that JPN/NA seem to get, so I'll be waiting until we get a good one. Not just a regular PSP packaged in with a game but a proper limited edition PSP.
Although I do believe that SCEE has the ultimate special edition with GT5, with the chance of winning an ACTUAL AMG SLS.

PSN+ is more like a loyalty discount, it's aimed at people who regularly purchase content from PSN. Apart from that it doesn't offer any extra functionality... yet.

I don't see what's the problem with his post, he's pointing out something that everyone should know - new tech is expensive.
What is a 3DTV for example, just a normal TV with a really fast input/output refresh rate, but they can still charge more for them simply for the fact that the technology is "new".
Also since there's not really much in terms of 3D content at the moment we're not really missing much, but I can guarantee you ...
