No re-releasing the game so soon will be only met with scorn and anger . Just get it and patch it or wait for a release after a season or 2 of dlc characters

And again you comparing with something that doesnt remotely apply the same way . A new difficulty setting doesnt change the designs and gameplay of the witcher , it could and probably would for Dark souls for the reasons already brought up , and also because well by default the game is online .

You bring up wishes and feelings about how universal a game should be ..but practically speaking , how do you design an easier version of a level where every 10 meters there is a morta...

It's not about elitism , at least not for everyone . Like i said before , i don't consider myself such a skilled gamer , but i thrived within the game by learning its principle and basically every step of the game by heart .

And some of us just don't agree with your comparison . Yes there are way harder games , that do propose the choice (some very cheap still) , but their design and core concepts aren't usually the same than the souls' . And not in a way...

I definitively don't agree , the game's difficulty isnt entirely tied to damage numbers and others stats ... it's about how traps are hidden from your field of vision , knowing where to walk , timing to avoid some of those traps , and the foes' attack and their ck pattern . Trying to add an easy mode to a game like that definitively change the whole experience and the required design . That's how i see it anyway

making solely universally reaching games begets boring and generic stuff .

And the game is actually welcoming for anyone willing to learn it . It does not require any special skills and talent (or i'd probably just fail) ... just patience and observation .

again it's a learning by trial and pattern game , you bring differences in difficulties , it breaks the game's design balance , and begs for something different .
The game is actually easy once you know those pattern by hearts , you remove the only difficulty threshold , which is the learning curve , you end up with nothing and a boring game , unless drastic change to it are made , that would essentially turn it into other action rpgs

It's not true in practice . Like it or not , with an easy mode in mind , the design of a game is different . Especially when most game just bump up the stats of foes and/ohe amount of spawns , rather than designing different and separate experiences .

In games like the Souls series , the game actually becomes easy when you do know perfectly enemy pattern and how to deal with them . If you add an easy mode for such an experience , it will potentially be even worse and as e...

I still say that it's only perception bs from remnant feelings over the 360 - ps3 era . Playing multiplatform games there isnt a difference ultimately ...

And on the side of exclusives , there are just established franchises and new ones that may or may not focus on it for both . Uncharted has been a mp game as well since the 2nd , last of us provide a solid unique mp as well . Driveclub is an online experience mostly . Bloodborne actually got a mp side as well . While t...

I also don't think there is a wrong choice . I just don't necessarily agree with making up nonsense about any of those consoles to promote one over the other .

Both are good enough to the point that you will choose based on titles and genre preferences alone ... or both if huge game omnivore .

The whole xb1 better for mp does not makes much sense for me . There isnt a multi platform title that plays better online on xb1 ... cross platform play will only start to be a thing on xb1 soon enough while there on a few ps4 titles , and exclusives are obviously unique experiences for each platforms

The only real factor would be a bigger amount of friends on xb1 or liking its exclusive titles . Which then would be valid enough reasons

It's no secret that i love Rock Band , while i don't care much anymore for its direct competition ...

But still it baffle my mind how much iffy or possibly bad decisions they take with the franchise lately .

Going back to Rock Band 4 , it's incredible that they though they would just release the game and even after release , not have modes people would always request to consolidate a game's value , even if they might not use it .

Like i've said in the past , i've got a maybe different perspective . My first experiences with mgs werent with the english voices , but with a few of the european dubs , and the japanese ones as well .

Which is probably why i'm not that attached to Hayter's voice , having heard others i felt were sometimes worse , or better , or equal and why i'm not feeling that he's an essential component to the franchise , unless i'm missing elements of him hel...

There is no debate for me , if some "douche" can decide that abtract paints that make no sense to many people , are art , people can just decide that gaming is art . Espacially when it does incorporate numerous already existing art form in its whole .

And i especially dislike in those convos , the trend of picking up quaint and unique or even obscure indie or retail games , to "show art" . Even deemed souless stuff like Call of Duty would categorize as ar...

For starters , ragequitting and chatroom abuse are rampant on isolated consoles paltforms as much as elsewhere , so you don't have a point there . You can only avoid or punish both . And there isnt less cheating and lagswitching on consoles either on those titles

And actually fighting games need this much more than mmos , mmos just happened to be one of the first commonusage of such features , because of titles like FFXI and XIV .

Plenty fighting games s...

That would be because we already knew about the whole roster outside of the dlc rather quickly .

Frankly there is hardly an issue anyway . All major fighting games (except tekken tag 2) had paid dlcs and/or expansions for characters .

Here we get an option to xp for those for free , or to pay as usual . It is not as if there is a possible comeback to no paid dlcs at all within the current industry

Not really . i only go for open world games that each got a distinctive feel to begin with . I also was never enthralled by sandboxes without a story, good enough .... basically literally sandboxes where you have to entertain yourself on your own .

I am mostly saying that there are precedents for the serie with using pop and commercials titles that got little to do with rock , as tracks

3054d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Really ? even the first games had a few popular crap like that as dlc or within the original playlists . RB2 had a tokio hotel song among other things , and there was even some lady gaga as dlc ...

but thats probably what they are going to do .... reintroduce him with big SF5 changes .

Of course doesnt change how the excuse given for his absence is flimsy , and probably just amount in reality as "we didnt want him in the initial roster , we need big known names for the unlockable chars in the future beyond the 6 already announced"
