They also feel the need to make all their games open world. Nothing wrong with a fully fleshed out, linear story mode. I'm not sure Splinter Cell would suit open world. If they're adamant about doing open world, I'd rather Splinter Cell stay dormant, and that's coming from a massive Splinter Cell fan.

I hope MS succeeds with the Scorpio but it will all boil down to games, simple as that. PS4 already has some great exclusives and some in the works. This is a massive announcement for MS, I hope it works for them as the gaming industry needs two giants like MS and Sons neck and neck to better each other.
It's time for Activision to listen to fans and go back to boots on the ground, world war or modern day shooter. The games were doing fine up until Advanced Warfare. Yeah Ghosts wasn't great but that game aside, the rest were fine albeit a bit samey each year.
I work for GAME (Reluctantly) and I can tell you that we only found out about this today at the same time as people who preordered. Maybe the higher ups knew but as far as the people that should know, only knew about it today
