Back in the day My buddy hosted Lan parties when he had 4 Xbox's. We played halo 1 tournaments at least once a month. Food, drinks, prizes. We used to get 30 + people in the neighborhood to come over and play. 16 player Lan games then best players moved on to take on newcomers. Fun times.
Legal or not, I'm not saying I care if they do run emulators on the Ps3 or Xbox if that is truly all the hackers were doing. I highly doubt they would risk bricking their $300.00 to $600.00 system investment to just play emulators. Most are running backups not all but most I'm sure. I just have read so many comments on different sites where people are saying I only modded it to play emulators and homebrew nothing else.
Off subject a bit here but I always hate when someone says they jail broke their PS3 to play emulators and home-brew. OK sure. Go buy a 50 dollar original Xbox if you want to play emulators on the big screen. Give me a beak. We all know they want to backup their own games or games they don't own.
Get ready for a flood of systems to hit Ebay and Craigslist. Would suck to be the one who buys it legit and you were not told of the banned console.
Not worth $29.99. Should be no more than $14.99 like Tomb Raider Underworld was recently on PSN.
I have a 120HZ and I can see the difference in uncharted 2 and some other games compared to my 60 Hz 1080P HDTV. It does make the graphics stand out more profoundly. Dang now I wish I would have paid a little more and sprung for the 240 Hz. Can't wait for KZ3
Cool.
Begin sarcasm...I hear that Kinect will track if you soil yourself. It detects the infrared heat coming off your pants. It can then upload that data to live to let all your friends know you shat and pissed yourself on so and so level.... End Sarcasm
Sorry to burst anyone’s bubble but if you look on the official PlayStation site it now says the 29th for firmware 3.40. http://us.playstation.com/c...
*1 PlayStation users can purchase PlayStation Plus membership through PlayStation Store on PS3 only. Users need to install PS3 system software version 3.40, which will be released on June 29th, to enjoy Play...
I'm still confused on the racing games I did not see anyone using their foot for the gas or brake like they showed last year in the Burnout demo. How does that work then?
Lair 2 with Move support, online CO-OP and multiplayer battles. Wishful thinking but that would be cool.
That's our $30-$50 Live subscription revenue hard at work.
Yep I have both games and I enjoy both. Halo franchise is so well known world wide that it really is not a fair comparison to a lesser known series. Let's see how the Modern Warfare 2 sales do in comparison. That's a better comparison. I mean the sales from just the X360 version alone. I bet it sells better.
Level Editor? That would be cool. Or maybe they upped the player count to 32 instead of 16 in multiplayer??
Finally got invite!!!
Sony should just package LBP in with the curent 80 gig system and they would sell like crazy this Christmas. Even at $399.99.
I've been asking for a lng time that this functionality comes to the PSN. GLad to see at least one game will utilize this. I hope they patch Warhawk and Pain next.
We had the option to choose between horizontal or vertical split screen in 2-player mode. I heard Baja has this option. I prefer horizontal split screen myself.
The "blockbuster" announcement he says is actually a partnership with Blockbuster Video to deliver content from blockbuster streamed to the PS3. maybe blockbuster is creating thier own "watch now" service to stay competitive against Netflix? That would be a play on words huh? Probably wishful thinking though. It would be cool if it was the PS2 store!!
they posted a news item on the Japanese PlayStation.com
I translated it on Google. It's a bit of a rough translation in parts but here goes.
