Pointless article - who really cares - if you own one system over the other, or prefer one over the other, then just enjoy it - these comparisons are pointless.
April/May next year sounds about right. Same time period as Gears 3.
No way M$ will announce a new system - IMO, earliest we will see this will be holiday 2012 - if they announce it for next year, then Natal would be pointless and it would hurt 360 sales. However, they need to do something as it appears more and more that the lack of a BD drive is hurting game development and unfortunately, it does appear that in terms of graphics and power, we may be seeing all that the 360 can do. {Digital Game Downloads anybody?}
Wake definitely appears to have some flaws - appears to be a solid game but for so many years in development, i would have expected a little more of a polished game. Definite rental, possible purchase later at a reduced price
As an owner of both the PS3 and X360 (with no loyalty to either) I can honestly say this is the best FPS shooter this generation.
PS3 - Better Design, Better Features (BD,Wireless), Better 1st Party Games, More Power, Longer Shelf Life, Reliable
360 - Better 3rd Party Games (companies just dont want to use PS Power), Better Online, Cheaper, More DLC, Edge On Controller Design (IMO), More Extensive Game Library.
Overall, it depends on what you want - both have advantages and disadvantages - I own both and enjoy both- but if you can only afford 1, I would give the nod to PS3 (BD, Wireless, 1s...
Getting the PS3 Version because the X360 D-Pad Sucks
KZ2 is one of the main reasons I purchased my PS3 - Sure the price was a little steep - but with LBP, Resistance, Motorstorm, MGS, and Uncharted already out and with KZ2, GOW3, Uncharted 2 - It was time (not to mention the Blu Ray aspect of the system).
Cheaper and it came out first. Once the PS3 price dropped down I picked it up and enjoy both systems for many of the reasons all stated.
