no, they are not. If they were they would be in the lead this generation. Both Sony and Microsoft have made some monumental f#ck ups this generation that would not be seen as particularly 'smart'.
They are BOTH performing very well now and will probably continue to do so for the rest of the generation. They are all just trying to do the best they can in the current situation they are all in.

....they don't care about review scores, they do. If I was going to buy a game, I want to hear the good and the bad and decide on my own whether or not to buy the game. Some people really need to be able to take the good with bad (If you can call an 8.5 bad?!)

Yeah Heavy Rain is very visually impressive. Need to see more of the game in action to see how it stacks up. The facial animation and detail is incredible though. Probably my most anticipated title of the year.
Uncharted 2, looks good from what has been shown, I wonder how much of a leap it will be over the first title.
PS3 graphically has some incredible games in the works, I hope the game play quality matches it. Glad to own a PS3 this year.
