The only games I'll play this year are hogwarts, FF XVI and Starfield. Hogwarts was good, Starfield will be okay but not as excited since the latest info's. FF XVI is like a microwaved dish, you get happy when it's hot but there's a lot of lame cold parts.
People have the right to complain. Almost all games feel like been there done that. Unnecessary open worlds that aren't filled out enough cause the devs get lazy or don't wanna spend more money.

After Forbidden West I'm so fatigued by Aloy I don't need any more sequels tbh.
They are repetitive, most of them follow the same structure. Talk to npc - go to a location - defeat some monsters - pick up items - return to npc. It's a bit disappointing to be honest after the hype they did about side quests pre release.

Originally the idea was for the cult to spread and replace the global reign of the illuminati. They started off the same way the illuminati did by controlling pop culture media with subliminal messages of the Las plagas and all seeing eye. I find the remake one better to be honest. The original Ada sounds like she's cueing a porn scene every time she talks.
It's highly subjective. The last great FF to many was FF XII. I personally hated FF IX even tho I'm an old school fan
