Well, Nintendo is pulling their stock from more than just Best Buy. I know that Gamestop has been pulling the basic Wii U's, but I'm not sure about Walmart and Target.
I agree, people should be happy. Other than that, I agree with Angeljuice, get hooked on phonics bro.
@Raccoon The alternative to that is getting a game every single year and not putting quality development time into a new experience (ie, Assassins Creed, Call of Duty, street fighter, ect.)
Granted, I don't care much for the wait either, but I do enjoy a quality game upon release.
I really don't want them to put a fighting game character into SSB (ie Tekken/Street Fighter). Sadly, I'm pretty sure it will happen. Although, they did say that they will limit the roster and the amount of 3rd parties in the game.
@awi5951 I couldn't help but giggle at "all the mods"
Anywho, I completely agree with the original statement. I have thoroughly enjoyed pc gaming (Counter Strike, TF2, Half life 2, Minecraft, ect..) but the truth of the matter is that you will always be doing $200 upgrades every couple years. I dont want to shell out that kind of cash all the time, when there is a system that has GAMES DESIGNED FOR IT rather than needing physical upgrades all the time to play th...
Oh no... politics AND video games in one thread...
This wont end well..
@Utalkin2me - It's all about how narrowly you define their market. For me personally, I returned my DSi for an ipod touch and never regretted that decision.
You make a valid point though, that you can't ambiguously compare these categories of phones and portable consoles. However, let's not be ignorant to think that these devices do not play a huge factor in the sales of portable consoles.
This is entirely my opinion, but I dont want a street fighter character in Smash Bros.
Seriously, they already have a million different fighting games y'know?
To me, the excitement of new characters is to see how that character would fight and the creative ways that the development teams envision them.
Street fighter characters have already been given fighting styles, and it wouldn't be a very creative/new experience for gamers/the s...
Could you imagine having a Lego character in there? Like it's originally Chase McCain, but the alternate costumes could be like Batman, or Indiana Jones... It probably wont happen, but i still think that's a great idea to include Chase.
I don't agree. Granted I'm not a hardcore gamer, heck I'm barely even a "gamer" by this sites "standards".
Anywho, the only reason that I haven't bought a Wii U yet, is because I really only want to play the next Zelda's, Mario's and Super Smash Bros. Having games like AC3 is nice, but I feel that most people who would purchase a Wii U have a specific game in mind that they want to play, that will only be coming out on the Wii U.
Must... wait... for... smash bros bundle...
I thought you meant giving Rocksteady and Bebop their own fps game... I was like... wha...O_o
I've basically given up on new Sonic games being any good... but I'm too big of a sonic fanboy to not get it.
Darn you SEGA!
Never go full amazon.
Anywho, this is starting to look like a game that I may be interested in getting now. I enjoy fighting games with a good story to boot!
I don't really see how this is negative. I understand that they could have done a little better about showcasing the Wii U, but this article seems to focus more on the development side and creativity.
Learning new things is always a bit stressful/scary, but eventually people will get the hang of it. Even for the developers (according to the article) it's hard to get used to something this new and different, but it will just help inspire more creativity and hopefully b...
@dark-hollow
The great thing about the Smash Bros series, is that it can be whatever you want it to be. You can put items on and make a wild game where anyone can win, veteran or newcomer. Or, you can display your individual skill by going mono-e-mono (is that spelled right?) with your opponent. That's why these games are so timeless imo. Everyone can find something fun about it.
Also, didn't Sakurai say that he was going to have more people be involv...
