But I think the main purpose is to play PS3 games for free using different methods. You can download via torrent then burn the file on an empty Bluray disc or you can put the file in an external HDD to play the games directly with a "jailbroken" PS3.
They will find the most effective method soon.
It's a shame but it's inevitable, unless Sony does something drastic.
I know all these rumors about PS3 hack have to be based on something real.
But we haven't seen the action that Sony is going to take regarding firmware update. Once Sony implement the next update and IF it still can be hacked easily, then we will know for sure that all you have to do is keeping up to date with the firmware, a hassle but for sure doable.
It depends if people don't mind keeping up to date every time a new update comes up.

Installing games in PS3= 15 minutes long-----> 1 time
Changing discs in 360=5 secs------->multiple times plus little bit exercise ( just kidding )

DVD capacity= 7 GB

More games with better graphics and physics are coming out ( See Rage ) and we have people still defending old technology. I'm 100% sure that most game developers will be ...
I hope you're not missing the point here.
The issue is not how lazy we are to change discs but the game genre.
Let's say if you play a linear game that doesn't need backtracking, more than 2 or 3 DVD's are fine since you won't need to change the disc every time you want to complete different side missions or objectives.
But it has been explained that with Castlevania, you will do quite a lot of backtracking if you want to collect all the treasures ...
All they have to do is modify the subtitles from 360 version to fit the added contents and storyline.
I'm sure that won't be too costly or time consuming. Look at Yakuza 3, it's well received in US even though it doesn't have English dub, I hope Yakuza 4 follows the same recipe.
Beside, in Tales games, I always prefer the characters to shout the name of their moves in Japanese. SHISHI SONSON !! Oopps, that's Zoro from One Piece....well you know what I mean....
I hope as soon as any Super Robot Taisen series become available on PSN Japan, they'll bring it here. Much more convenient than having to buy Japan PSN card.
SRW series are about the only series I don't want to be voiced over in English.

A good product is good no matter what company made it. Remember one thing though, Sony specialized in hardware while MS in software ( I like Windows XP, I use it everyday ).
I don't think I need to delve further about this current gen console features and reliability.
But in all honesty, do you really think a hardware that is created by MS will ever outdo the one that's made by Sony ? Be for real

Also I think it's a good idea to release classic remakes with trophies, I like hunting for trophies for games that I'm interested in. Hunting for trophies for awesome classic games ? Nostalgia and sense of accomplishment, double win !

I agree about the part that trophy system lets you know what kind of gamer your friends are.

I spot several mechas that I'm familiar with from playing EVERY Super Robot Taisen on PS2.
I see Dunbine, Aquarion, Gundam SEED, Gundam Crossbone, Macross DYRL, etc
I see lots of REAL robots, but where are the SUPER robots ?
You know...the legendary Mazinger Z and Getter Robo ?

It's been too long since I played a game like this, the one that I can recall that resembles this is Popolocrois on PSP. I will play this game to the death, I'll try to get the platinum no matter how hard it will be.
