Why not see this as an opportunity for Nintendo to show the fans that they appreciate and respect them instead of shutting down a free, fan made game. This game had the potential to bring nintendo some good PR and even talented employees with a fresh outlook on the franchise.
This is starting to become a No Man's Buy.. Seriously though I can't wait to play it, but how hard could it be to let the players explore the same universe knowing that somewhere else out there, even if you didn't see eachother, there was a player just like you, exploring the vast, almost infinite space with a small hope of maybe meeting someone else.
