As far as PlayStation exclusives goes it was too unvaried and predictable. If this was Sony's attempt to get me excited for the future of PlayStation5 then they failed.
I think the writer of the article needs to check his ears because the volume can get so high it’s hurting my ears with the Pulse3D….

In today’s gaming landscape. I’d say for most, no it isn’t. I honestly wouldn’t recommend a PS5 for most these days. There’s just better value with a SeriesX|S.
Xbox is better in every way except two things.
The DualSense. Xbox needs the same haptics and adaptive triggers.
“Exclusive” games of the same AAA quality. Several are announced. More then PlayStation by allot but it still remains to be seen if they are any good….
If Xbox nails the games it’s a slam dunk. Even more so if they upgrade their controller to match Sony.
Only Nintendo can get away with selling what looks like a mobile game for $60…
Some hard facts:
With VRR these smal performance variations are not a issue at all. The game feels much more responsive on SeriesX because of VRR that syncs performance and display refresh rate 1:1 all the time. So you get smooth gameplay that feels more responsive and at a higher resolution. You also on SeriesX don't get raised blacks which is a frustrating thing with Metro Exodus because there's quite a few dark areas.
But what really surprised ...
Best game ever made will of course trigger some.

Definitely going for the PS5 version on this one. The DualSense adds some nice features and the game have Tempest 3D audio support. I found the 3D sound on PS5 when comparing with Dolby Atmos emulation (game does not have native Atmos support) on SeriesX to be much better on PS5.

It’s definitely not for everyone. Even fans of the genera should know what they’re getting into as the game is far from just skill as luck and randomness is just as important in this game.
I love the game. But I’ll probably never finish it 😆
You think the developers put games on GamePass out of the kindness of their heart? How dense do you think these publishers/developers are?

Best you can do is buy a Xbox SeriesX|S and pick up a PS5 when there’s enough exclusives that justifies you buying it. Because as of now you get more at a better value with Xbox.
He and his team has done such a good job turning things around. And the positive news just keeps on coming.

Absolutely. And imagine if we got to play many of these older PS4 exclusives or even PS3 exclusives with propper backwards compatibility with better textures, resolution and FPS like on Xbox. It would have been awesome. But it's not on PlayStation so it's not "important".....
Well they and everyone else had good reasons back when Xbox One was announced and eventually launched.
Today it's mostly fanboys and people who have no idea what Xbox is doing, just jumping on the "hate train". But even PlayStation fans are starting to appreciate what's going on now. The die hards will just continue regardless of change for the lols and to justify their preferred platform. You know...the usual drill :D
I was hoping for better but feared for worse. It looks OK...but it should have looked fantastic. Here's hoping it's way more fun to play then it looks.
