This has nothing to really do about what these companies are in thier respected businesses for..
Sure, a few corporations that are involved with video games happen to be thier list, but as far as "News for Gamers", this is a moot point IMO.

Children fighting over mere inches of differences.. The simple fact is, the PS3 version uses a blurring filter while the 360 version does not..The filter is used to give the game a more "smoothed out" look to it (less jaggies) However when viewed within zoomed shots it also hides some of the smaller details as well ..
Both versions look the same , but are simply running off of different hardware.. Hence different filters being used...

That both characters will eventually become an add on download regardless which platform you play on... (search your feelings)

The problem MS had was that they said they were going all the way with it, and when the system launched, only a handfull of games were avalable (Barbie Horse Adventure?)..
Both parties are guilty as charged, but at least you still have the option of getting BC via the 80gig model, or simply keeping your PS2 around for a little while longer..

My freind at work, not so lucky.. His 360 bricked almost a week after he bought it (yes, while playing Halo 3).. I actually still own a premium launch unit and have not had any real problems with it.. (A freeze here and there at most)..
I do think that this is a widespread problem though... Go to Bungie.net or xbox.com and see for yourself.. They have over 400 gamer tags from people that can't start the game, always freeze at "The Storm" level, or can only play if the...
Research shows that people are indeed very loyal to certain brands.. I'm sure that some people may see it as nothing more than price and "how many game cases are displayed on those walls." But, the majority already know what they want as well.. Hell, many of them will own 2 or 3 consoles as well..
I think Sony's advertising will play a big role as well.. If they send a bright , clear message out to the general public, telling them "Why" the PS3 is a great va...
I truly think that the PS3 "MAY" very well dominate this holiday season in Europe.. I know that Sony has an uphill battle here in the states and may come in 3rd in the US region (but not too far behind). But, with strong sales in Europe, and decent sales from US and Japan, the PS3 may find itself having a great holiday sales spike overall..
I predict that sales in November and December will be second only behind the Wii, with the 360 comming in 3rd..

Bungie says "No more Halo from us" .. MS says "Bullsh*t, Halo is a must." , and viola you have an in-house Halo game in development.. Perhaps a partnership with Epic (or who ever is hot at the moment) to code and design the game..
