Blu-Ray outselling HD DVD 9:1 in Japan

There were informal reports about Blu-ray sales in Japan from various articles but for the first time Panasonic has revealed their true reasons to go with Blu-Ray.Expect Blu-ray sales to be much higher from November when the low priced version of white ps3 hits Japan .

although Transformers is selling well but is PURSUED by BIGGER TITLES like PIRATES 1 and 2.

in EU BD is outselling HD DVD 8:1 currently

I don't deny that stat! And in my opinon, Bluray is winning the format war overall. All i ask is that you stop posting things like 'Bluray outselling HD DVD 4:1 in EU' without any proof of that particular stat. You have proof of Bluray outselling HD DVD in Japan, its in that picture, and i haven't said that stat is wrong! But please stop posting stuff in the comments section with no proof, or when you say things that are right, people wont believe them.

Also, i'll approve this thread if you remove that wierd ????? bit. The main story of this is that BR is outselling HD DVD in Japan 9:1, you can see that from the pic. i don't think the

Pretty soon the only thing you can buy in Japan is either DVD or Blu-ray. 10 percent of sales means stores won't even hold HD-DVD because they are actually losing money.

Stores here in Japan haven't held HD-DVD at all from what I can tell. I have never seen one. Only Blue Ray. And they are usually in the PS3 section.

Not just Japan, Blu-ray is winning everywhere. And the PS3 is only $50 more expensive (or even cheaper) than the Xbox 360. It's looking grim for people who decided to support the 360 and only the 360. I'm rich enough to own both, fortunately.

I dont know I think HDdvd is doing prett well in my opinion, yes they dont have as much publicity and not as many movies but it still seems that HD is still trying to prove that they are better the BR. I dont seem to care as long as I get some High Def movies which I do but it is getting a a tad annoying seeing 3:1,5:1,4:1 articles everyday, this is a gaming site is it not? I dont understand why we need to keep knowing about how the Movie business is doing every day it just plain seems asinine to keep brining it up....but I guess ps3 adopters think its their ace in the hole so we will keep seeing these type of news post....:SIGH:

here in switzerland i see most times bluray in stores, and much less HD. and a lot of people here know what bluray is but havent really heard about HDdvd. a lot think that it is the same as a normal dvd.

i dont want to pay more money for a HD-DVD.
consumers want one format, not two.
in Norway Blu-Ray is the winning format. i almost never see HD-DVD here.
i think i know of one store that sells HD-DVD.... 2 movies....

is a fact that blu-ray hd dvd are wining over hd dvd and you know why, because blu-ray is better hand down. the success of blu-ray is guarantee no doubt.
