I was thinking that there has not been any 4 or 5/10 review and here we are lol

5/10 actually means a broken mess of a game...

Lexreborn228d ago

10/10 fantastic must play/experience
9/10 amazing
8/10 great
7/10 good
6/10 above average
5/10 means mediocre
4/10 is bad overall
3/10 is bad and broken mess
2/10 is damn near unplayable and bad
1/10 is no redeeming qualities whatsoever

I find it hilarious that people on the internet really treat review scales as if it’s ambiguous and out of a score of 10. 5 is bad…

This the major reason people argue over the internet is because they hold scores in such high esteem. But there’s no agreement on what things mean.

What good is it to hold a review as important or not if you don’t even know how the people/platform view the score itself.

The very site that’s got people up in arms doesn’t even have a scale and what the numbers mean it’s just slapped on to an opinion.

This why people be getting emotionally high jacked by reviews too. Because a 5 to some people mean unplayable. And a 5 to others means a basic game/time filler.

Then people attacking sites and others because they don’t even really know what the reviewer means with the number.

This exactly why yall either need to switch to a universal system or drop the numbers all together.

You can def tell which outlets actually view PlayStation objectively. This and ign being 2 of them. These smaller rags 10/10!! 9/10!! Can’t take that seriously when the legit pubs aren’t quite being so generous. Also - very very very very few games deserve a 10, and only slightly more deserve 9s imo. So thanks to the rags actually being objective and critical.

Did you read the review?
Half of it is just talking about the "sexualization." I don't think most reviews are being fair to it.

Most, if not all reviewers who scored the game very low are actually praising the games combat. Gameplay should always come first, isn't that what you Xbox guys keep telling us?

Crows9028d ago

They gotta follow through with the bias.. they can't give the game a good score even if the game is good. It's not politically correct to do so.

shadowknight20328d ago

Political correctness, I can't wait for that to end. Hopefully..

gammaray1328d ago

you are proof that there really are people born without a brain

Ironmike26d ago

Ign review was fair it's a good game but its nor amazing combat is good bur there's to much weight to character and the platforming is awful

VersusDMC28d ago

"Stellar Blade goes so far beyond titillation or dogmatically and cynically targeting a certain type of gamer. The sexualisation is so over the top, so brazen, so shameless, that I can only deduce that to dehumanise and objectify women was the point."

The Reviewer is in the reset era threads admitting to lowering the score because of the "sexualization"...

Crows9028d ago

Hey..let him be. He is the target he despises...only horny little teenagers obsess over this stuff..

Scissorman28d ago

I didn't even need to read the article to know why it was given a 5/10. The insecurity of some people is unreal.

Hypertension14028d ago

You're right, its about half of this article in fact, that's why they only gave it a 5.

Eonjay28d ago

This is actually anti women. As any real feminist will tell you, they believe that women should not be confined by the expectations. They want to see every version of the female form expressed. They actually believe in the expression feminine sexuality. They actually consider it a bonus that a woman can be both hot and kick ass at the same time.

Crows9028d ago

Not only anti woman but there's probably a ton of discrimination towards Asian women mixed in there. We've seen sexy outfits on other games and they haven't gotten as much attention since the women look more "western"

These reviewers are clearly ashamed of themselves for being hooked on some pervy Asian stuff. That's my guess anyways.

Christopher28d ago

I agree, but I also agree if it was the women saying this about this game and not the usual crowd of gamers who complain about too many ugly women in video games then it would come off as more meaningful and expressive of the feminist movement.

Eonjay27d ago

I agree. The whole childish mentality of trying to purge gaming of females who they deem to be below par is stupid and its very damaging Women come in all shapes and sizes and this was never an issue with male video game characters nor should it be. By the same token, if that is what the reviewer is responding to then he should say that. Attacking this game out of frustration with idiots is not helping his cause at all. Two wrongs don't make a right.

More stuff to an already great game! (I still wish they'd fix the censorship though)

Traecy7h ago

Don't need to. The game is fabulous! A perfect 9.5.

CrimsonWing697h ago(Edited 7h ago)

Yea, I’m really shocked that they were having “internal discussions” about that and basically felt that would be enough since they didn’t do anything about it, which still doesn’t make sense since if it’s “their decision” like they want you to believe, why not give the fans what they want?

I’ll tell you what, you know with the sequel they won’t pull this monkey business.

Also, I’m not really a huge fan of boss rush modes, but glad there’s people excited for this.

Redemption-646h ago

If anything they should ignore those people. It is so laughable how people cry creative freedom for devs, yet the second a dev finish the design they wanted, some people crying censorship. It was their intended design and they should stand by it

CrimsonWing695h ago

@Redemption-64

Well just agree to disagree.

Tacoboto5h ago

It's hilarious seeing these losers still push the censorship narrative. Like good grief, they still kept the slim bikinis and the mid-cutscene crotch-shot, and the scenes of being up-close to uhh...Lily's face... in moments when she hugs Eve.

blackblades2h ago

I think they changed the look of some outfits so all countries has the same game. Cause probably couldnt get pass certain countries system. At the end of the day the outfits looks nice. People should really get passed the so called censoring and move on.

Buying this game on pay day. Been looking forward to it ever since it was announced as Project Eve. The demo was fun - definitely supporting it.

GhostMirror5h ago

Good decision, as it’s well worth your time. I can’t stop playing it.

ravens524h ago

It's a great game so far. I'm taking my time, like every other game I play lol.
