finding ways to make me buy it. You get certain demos earlier and betas. Last month I bought it just for the Valkyria Chronicles demo, this month I will certainly want to get into the Home beta.

I'm already in the Home Beta and I'm an annual subscriber to Qore, so I hope to hell that the Home Beta isn't the ONLY thing that Qore subscribers get to download next month.

Edit: And Lightning, Qore is worth it. It's really quote inexpensive if you think about it, and you get Calling All Cars! for free when you do the annual subscription, which is a decent value and a good game in its own right if you don't have it already. And the monthly downloads have all been worth my while so far. And the presentation is really nice. I like it, there's good stuff on there. And mini-games. If that matters to you.

I guess this means HOME isn't coming out this year after all. HOME is PS3's Alan Wait lol.

Kleptic5669d ago

I want nothing to do with whatever closed beta they have going on right now...no one seems to find it worthwhile, just because barely anyone is in it and all the areas are closed off still...

when a Qore episode includes a beta to Killzone 2 though...i'll buy 6...

Megaton5669d ago

If you don't have Calling All Cars, the annual is worth it. You're essentially paying $15 for 12 episodes of Qore. I don't know if I would have subscribed if I had already owned that game.

As for this episode, I'm in Home, so there doesn't seem to be anything for me. Home could definitely use more active people though, so I guess that's something.

I'm already in it, but I knew this was going to happen... We won't see an open beta until 09' ; just another Sony blunder.

MS Bribing II5669d ago

I will bet you a 100,000$ its coming out this year

Sitdown5669d ago

is that a trick? Cause typically the "$" goes before the number. Anyhow...I have not really kept up with home......which for me means that Qore is not worth my price of admission....and I feel like Qore is slowing making its way to become Sony's version of Live.

Final_Rpg5669d ago

@2.1

I bet you a 100,000 dollars that you won't pay him if it does come out 2009.

sonarus5669d ago

This is just proof that home will actually come this yr

LightningPS3PS35669d ago (Edited 5669d ago )

That's how I saw it also. I mean just about anyone can buy the episode of Qore for 3 bucks. I never get into any betas. If I'm actually gonna be able to get into Home, that means Home is now a reality, is just about here.

Polluted5669d ago

I'd say it seems more like proof that it won't come this year. *Maybe* in late December. They're trying to cover up the fact that they've missed another "proposed release" date by pretending like we're supposed to be excited about a beta we have to pay for.

Last I heard we were supposed to have Home on November 5th. Prior to that it was supposed to be some time in October. I guess it's best to launch a completely finished product than risk the bad pr from a shaky launch, but from what I hear from people in the beta it's actually not bad right now. What's the freakin' hold up here?

MrWonderful5669d ago

does anyone ever get into the qore betas on time?

--Onilink--5669d ago

i got my soccom code on time and i didnt care about it, but r2 was the one i wanted, and i got it a week later...and some people never got it

they shouldnt be promoting the betas as something big on qore if they cant deliver

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OPEN BETA!?

Games That Were Bad on Release, But Are Now Great

BLG writes, "Some of the most popular games have had a rough start, with some of them being downright unplayable.

Despite that, developers have managed to turn it around for them and make their game worth playing. Here are some games that had a rough start but were pretty great."

Good list..hoped to see Street Fighter 5 there..and it is.

Sea of Thieves... I'm not disagreeing that the game has improved in terms of content. But I feel that the most significant change between now and its release is actually the public perception. Nowadays, most people are aware that the game is a multiplayer PvP-focused experience first and foremost, and not "Black Flag made by Rare". Consequently, people dismissing the whole experience because the single-player aspect is lacking or the story is plain are much less common.

darthv721h ago

Several years ago, i submitted an idea to Rare that would change up the mechanics of battling opponents in the game. whereby if you died in battle, you turned into a skeleton warrior and had to fight your way back to the land of the living. It was an interesting twist on respawning and would allow the player to experience both sides of a battle.

I keep hoping to see something like that get added to the game.

They consider FO 76 & ME Andromeda to be great now 🤭

They aren't going to give more. We are talking about a company that has rereleased an 13 year old game at least 5 times.

Doesn't seem to be that bad of a month. Got a bit of something for everyone.

Please do not support braid anniversary edition. Don't support Phil phish, he's a very despicable person, a a cry baby.

One example

Tacoboto1d 20h ago

Wrong developer. Phil Phish was the developer behind Fez.

Jonathan Blow was behind Braid. If you're gonna cancel culture, don't take down the wrong indie...

CrimsonWing691d 12h ago

Man, I don’t know why, but it also irks me when people try to tell others what to do. Fez was an awesome game, I couldn’t care less if the dev was a douche.

This is just extra cringe since the person actually doesn’t know what they’re talking about 🤦‍♂️

remixx1161d 4h ago

Welcome to the internet crimson

shinoff218321h ago(Edited 21h ago)

I wasn't cancel culturing shit. Phil phish is a complete douche. Did you bother to watch the video? Probably not.

I was wrong but call me cancel culture is just plain dumb also

Also crimson.

As you I'm human and we make mistakes. That was a mistake I mixed the games up. Shit happens. So go cringe yourself

Honest mistake, if you can watch that video and support the guy. Then I guess your in the same camp

Tacoboto20h ago

You were wrong and that's that. Don't be so angry.

And yeah, that is a case example of cancel culture. It was a dozen years ago, he's apologized since, had Japanese developers rationalize with his remark, barely has done anything in the industry since Fez, and yet here you are, not even remembering the one game he made...
