Top 100 Video Games of All Time

This is a controversial countdown of the top 100 video games of all time. It has a heavy emphasis on retro picks but it's an interesting read, and different than any other top 100 list out there.

I'm actually moderately surprised as hot decent the top 10 is. controversial pick of Link to the Past over Super Metroid (i would have LttP over SM too), but overall a decent list compared to some other ones we've seen recently.

There was only one single Playstation 2 game on that entire list of 100 games; God of War. Why not include God of War 2 while your at it?

The creater of this list put in both Halo and Halo 2, which I feel is inappropriate. Just one of those titles should suffice.

The guy who made that list is obviously some Microsoft/Nintendo fanboy who probably hates the Playstation brand like an abusive father.

and you couldnt even be bothered naming final fantasy 3 -> FF6. because it avoids confusion. Im sure evryone knows by now that FF3(us) is actually FF6.

I don't like to quarrel about the order - which hame should be 68 and which 23.

But avoiding such hits like Heroes of Might & Magic III, Half-Life, Duke Nukem 3D, Medal of Honor:AA or Call of Duty, Bioshock, first GTA, Soul Calibur? Where is any PC RPG like Elder Scrolls, Planescape: Torment(!)? Why there are 3 blizzards RTS and any other like Age of Empires, Company of Heroes?

But this list is Pretty Descent! River City Ransom is my all time favorite 2 player fighting game hands down! NES did make great games lmao the orgen trail i played n pc at school! The only 2 games i saw missing fromthe list was FFT psone i place in 3rd & Streets of Rage be like 52! LTP SNES Zelda great game, but i haven't seen a better SNES ending than Metroid. Everyone knows Super~Metroid had the best ending on SNES check any website!

that game to me was some of the most fun I had with the SNES, like to have seen more games from other platforms since like 85% of these were off nintendo but it wasnt that bad. Brought back some good memories.

Now I remember this game being as fun and exciting for about 2 levels. But seriously, I don't even know anyone that got past the first hover bike level (middle to end of 3rd level). It was ridiuculous hard/unbeatable (especially when you were 8-10) and not one of the 100 best games ever.

How to judge a Top 100 list based on Final Fantasy games: If the list has 7 rated better than FF4 FF5 or FF6, then just ignore it.
