In Our Opinion: The Seven Worst Boss Fights of all Time

Bagogames: Many games need great boss fights, they serve as the final mark of punctuation to really stamp a game's mark on the player. The best of them could be intense, leaving you almost exhausted and battling back tears of joy that come with your victory. Or they could be emotional, serving as the plateau of a long and emotional journey. Or they can just suck...

Disagree? You probably do, so why not leave us a comment pointing out our folly and who you think should have been on our list?

i can vouche for absolute virtue

Bagogames4390d ago

Are you serious? It's actually that bad?

Might bump it up if I can actually confirm it's as bad as people have said. Or if someone actually died.

Crap_Turtle4390d ago

its worse, its brutal........

Ajoyshop4390d ago

I have fond memories of defeating number five. I am a life long lover of Half-Life. Looking forward to new bosses in Half-Life 3 (if it ever happens).

jthamind4390d ago

the first time i played through Killzone 2 on Elite, it took me forever to get past Radec. the second time i played through on Elite, though, i kicked his ass within a couple tries. lol.

Bagogames4390d ago

It's not especially Radec, but the wall of RPG rounds hurtling towards you if you stick around too long lol.

DeadSpaced4390d ago

Honestly, there were a few I would have liked to see on there but not a bad piece though.

Bagogames4390d ago

I'd like to know which ones lol

We've got a very limited number of spaces and there were a few more I would have liked, so I like to see what others think of them.

DeadSpaced4390d ago

Well, here's a list with a few reasons why I feel that way.

Moonlight Butterfly- Dark Souls: When people think Dark Souls, they think of a game so hard that they (accidentally) broke their TV/controller or both. You fight demons who fight you with weapons, elements, magic, etc. There are dragons who can be quite difficult. They even have a wolf that can put up a fair fight. But I think they stretched it with this beast. A large, magical butterfly whose attacks can be avoided with a simple roll. Ready to kill it? Just wait for it to get tired. I thought it was just out of place in a game of such intensity.

Hive Mind- Dead Space: So this beast is pretty big. That's all it has going for it though. Even on the hardest difficulty, All you have to do is run left to right to avoid its tentacles then wait to shoot at its eyes or heart. This whole time, you're taught to "cut off their limbs", but ironically, the rule doesn't apply to the very beast controlling the necromorphs.

The Destroyer- Borderlands: Now this guy is huge. It's not too pretty to look at either. However, all you have to do is hide behind a rock, avoid an attack by staying behind the rock, aim at it's eye, then shoot. Winning strategy? Stock up on ammo. Then unload. Simple really.

Thanks for asking. :D lol

moeqawama4390d ago

Does anyone remember nightmare from the first devil may cry? I thought the second time you fight him was one of the toughest boss fights ever. I could be wrong, but I don't know why the Hell I remember him being so damn tough

Bagogames4389d ago

I do remember him but I didn't find him that difficult lol. It took me two or three attempts but I knew I was just falling short of the benchmark lol

PlayStation 3 Games That Desperately Need a PS5 Remaster

The PlayStation 3 may not have been the strongest generation for Sony, but there were still some diamonds in the rough that deserve a revisit as PS5 remasters.

Even if they could just remaster and put on PSVR2, some would still look great as VR titles and could do a whole lot to bolster the headset w these exclusives! I'd imagine the investment of reworking these titles into VR would be way less than building new games from the ground up, and they could be amazing experiences, and VR often makes flat games feel fresh again. The Resistance and Killzone games are particularly what I want to see!!

Rude-ro51d ago

I played killzone 3 in 3d and it really changed the game per being immersive.
In vr, that would be even more awesome.

darthv7251d ago

Funny you mention that... my son wanted to play some PS3 games in 3d on my PS tv and he was blown away by how good KZ3 was. It really was a great addition to the game. Im surprised there have not been more 3d games from that era being ported to the PSVR/VR2.

Killzone trilogy in VR would be amazing bonus points if they offer shadow fall.

There was a psvr1 Killzone project that supermassive was working on at one stage which wasn't up to scratch and Sony brand it back in house I was hoping we would see that on psvr2 eventually.

Personally I'd love to see some more love or acknowledgement of psvr2 from Sony in general it was a expensive headset and Sony barely acknowledge it's existence

seanpitt2351d ago

The amount of work needed to remaster these games wouldn't be beneficial on a financial and business sense.. MGS4 would probably be the best bet as it would need the least amount of work!

Iceball200051d ago

YEAAASSSSS! I miss this franchise and wanna play it so bad again.

Father__Merrin51d ago

The time is perfect for a resistance fall of man game campaign coop multiplayer

InUrFoxHole51d ago

The resistance series is str8 trash to me. Socom 3 I would welcome. Or killzone MP.

Marcus Fenix51d ago

A Resistance reboot will be awesome

Michiel198951d ago

That's what Bungie should make, Ill keep saying it until it happens

1Victor51d ago (Edited 51d ago )

Resistance was ok but Warhawk and Starhawk was better and kept me coming back for almost a decade of fun and petty revenge on the loud mouth unskilled players 🤣
Edit I loved capture the flag dropping the pot on the flag carrier was extremely satisfying as well as transforming your plane in bot form and stumping them to death 😱

Resistance was the best co-op fps I ever played after L4D2

Valve Just Patched A Two-Decade Old Bug In Half Life

As part of the title’s 25th anniversary, that long-established glitch has now been resolved.

Barlos156d ago

Been replaying this on my steam deck now that it's been updated with modern controls and is now fully verified. Have to say I'm surprised to see how well it holds up. Was a great game in 1998 and it's still a great game 25 years on.
