Valve is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Half-Life, and while it didn't announce Half-Life 3 (for now), it revealed a big update for the original game and Steam Deck support.
As part of the title’s 25th anniversary, that long-established glitch has now been resolved.
Been replaying this on my steam deck now that it's been updated with modern controls and is now fully verified. Have to say I'm surprised to see how well it holds up. Was a great game in 1998 and it's still a great game 25 years on.
The textures in Half-Life were seemingly only produced by a single person, as confirmed in a new in-depth documentary about the game.
Entertainium editors Andy and Gareth discuss 1998’s seminal first-person shooter Half-Life on the occasion of its 25th anniversary.
Damn that original menu screen is classic for sure. Makes me think of my first PC which was a prebuilt from Time.
Wonder if anything for a new Half Life will be revealed anytime soon.. Or any other Valve game for that matter.
they also 'accidentally' made the full game free but they quickly reversed that by making anyone who claimed it get an "ooops" screen. I was like, hot damn this will be fun again, and then... poof.
They could have done a lot more with this for being the 25th anniversary
How about a console port or at least porting the Black Mesa remake version
It would have been great to get Half Life, Blue Shift, Opposing Force and Decay in one package
Half-Life 2: Episode 3 and Half-Life 3 confirm Bay Bay!!!!
