Street Fighter X Tekken has been surrounded by drama since its announcement at ComicCon two years ago. First fans scoffed at the idea of converting Tekken fighters onto a 2D playing field, and then they were outraged by gems, equippable jewels that give your characters bonuses once certain conditions are met. Now with the game’s release only more people are upset, with nearly a third of the cast locked away as on-disc DLC, and multiple issues plaguing the online portion of the game. Capcom says they are looking into the sound bug plaguing online and the fact that you can’t play with two people on the same xbox online. If Capcom is able to fix these issues and you can look past the game’s other problems, you may find yourself enjoying Street Fighter X Tekken more than any other fighting game to date (my score is based under the assumption that they will).
Or it's about to leave the storefront like another Capcom title.
With Street Fighter 6 now upon us, it's time to look back at some classic Street Fighter titles, beginning with Street Fighter X Tekken.
It was a cool gamble imo. In reality, everyone were waiting for Namco version, Tekken X Street Fighter.
Yep, played very little of it, but from what I played, it was serviceable enough. Could've been better? Yes, but then again, you can say that about pretty much anything.
What killed this game was their planned reliance on GaaS with the whole gem system. It made little sense and made the game extremely unbalanced. Not to mention the unbalance of most of the characters, especially on the Tekken side
Ahhh the game that Capcom had DLC on the disc on release yet you had to pay to unlock it

i bought this game because I'll buy anything with Tekken on the cover i usually HATE and let me stress HATE Street Fighter games but this game is pretty ridiculous (good ridiculous) i played it for like 4 hours straight last night and sneaked in 2 rounds before work this morning I'm loving so far
It's actually more fun to play than mk9. I believe Capcom has taken back the fighting genre thrown with this one. Also it's fun to play 2v2 with friends. They took a book out of mk9's play book and excelled at it.
