Good stuff, this is how it should be, what's particularly stupid is when you can get the same experience on Ps3 for free. Like Cod, or Dark souls(made the horrible mistake of getting this on 360)

Edit--- wow, I just looked at that vid, this game doesn't have enough hype, Dragons were a big thing for Skyrim, and Dragons in this are way better along with a good combat system

Hah, your right Nitrowolf, but still, it's **** either way that live costs money, but eh, even if there is no real online, my point still stands. The online features are there at least, Dark souls doesn't even have tips on the ground and stuff, which it should

Nitrowolf24467d ago

I thought this game doesn't have an actual online though? Like no PVP or anything like that. From all I heard it's just sending your own NPC partners and sending them to help others, but no real co-op

AhmadVGArabia4467d ago

the game doesn't have co-op mode but it has online features. There is a feature called 'Rim Crystals'. You can lend out your Pawn to a 100 players, if you want. You get Rim Crystals for lending out your Pawn, which can be used to buy more powerful items.

Just one more extra excuse not to buy this game. Capcom will never learn. Why don't they announce these timed exclusive shit on the PS Blog. Le the Playstation crowd know how important they are to Capcom because thats what this timed exclusive shit is doing for the Xbox 360 crowd. This timed exclusive shit needs to stop.

Wolfbiker4467d ago

I agree it needs to stop but if this was a times exclusive for the playstation platform would your view be different perhaps?

geddesmond4467d ago

No I would still have the same view. If your going to make a multiplat game then make it the same for everyone. Don't give Bioshock 1 away to PS3 owners for free with Bioshock infinite because Xbox owners are paying the same money.

If your making an exclusive fighter like Cole from Infamous for SFXT on PS3 then make a Master Chief fighter for Xbox owners.

These exclusives and timed exclusives bring in less players than the players they turn away. I would rather have a game be exclusive to 1 consol than have timed DLC or exclusive DLC and thats the truth.

n4gisatroll4467d ago

It's because MS pays for this timed exclusive stuff, and Capcom is very money hungry. I don't think Capcom cares about any gamer, tbh.

StanSmith4467d ago

Sony pays too! Either way, this stupid business model needs to die.

MidnytRain4467d ago

I thought PS3 got BS1 partly because there is more disc space.

ger23964467d ago

Timed exclusive dlc?Screw them, ill buy it used then.

Hicken4467d ago

Online play should be free. Period.

Charge for the extras like cross game and party chat, if you like, but online play is a basic feature of systems this gen, and should NOT be charged for.

Dragon's Dogma Is Still Amazing

Although the sequel is on the near horizon, the original Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen remains a fantastic action RPG, still worth playing.

A lot of the quest lines in Skyrim are good(not all and they don’t add up as a whole if you do thieves guild mage fighters guild etc) The dragons are very lame after the first few times and the combat is clunky as it always has been. The stupid sprint button is ridiculous.

Overall I agree DD is the better rpg game.

Both have theirs strengths and weaknesses but Skyrim should be so much more being the 5th game in Elder Scrolls series.

Excited to see what they add on to DD 2.

Unfortunately all they have done to Elder Scrolls since Morrowind is take things out (minus the sprint button which is so lame because you can kill dragon god like creatures but can’t run for more than ten seconds without getting tired)

anast85d ago (Edited 85d ago )

I liked the vampire questline and the return to Morrowind was okay, but the problem with Skyrim was the lack of consequence. There is almost no point in the quests. After I realized this, I started messing around with the mods and then quit playing. Though, I did spend 300 hrs. on modded content, but this is telling of how bad the game kind of is.

If DD was the size or close to the size of Skyrim, It would have been the primer fantasy game back then. I hope they up the size with DD2.

5 Games To Play While Waiting For Dragon's Dogma II

Daman Shelley from NoobFeed writes - Dragon's Dogma is truly a one-of-a-kind game, and there really is no other game like it, but there are a few that come close. Whether with their fantasy settings, the ability to climb mountains, or just with the overall same charm as Capcom’s iconic RPG. Here's a list of games that will hopefully scratch that Dragon's Dogma itch.

every gamer should play this game

gold_drake135d ago

cant wait for it, feb and march are busy busy months ha.

SovereignSnaKe135d ago

I can still hear the title screen music in my head after nearly 12 years. Loved every minute of it.

MrNinosan135d ago

I have no issues filling my time til DD2.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Infinite Wealth and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will probably me more than enough.
More terrified I won't be done in time.

DivineHand125135d ago

Try not to burn yourself out before the game releases. This is going to be a long and immersive RPG like the first one.

The games in this article are all great and I believe the people who are excited for Dragons Dogma 2 probably already played most of those games.

For now, I recommend you prepare yourself for long play sessions if you will be picking up Dragons Dogma at launch.
