The year's top-selling games and consoles at retail ranked by unit sales
Black Ops 6 is rumored to release on PS4 and Xbox One consoles, which will be a huge set back for the upcoming Call of Duty title.
Duuro says: "Retropolis 2: Never Say Goodbye is a superb game. With a gripping mystery, memorable cast of robots, and some truly head-scratching puzzles, Peanut Button have delivered an outstanding vintage-style adventure. Although this episode leaves some threads untied, I can't wait to continue Philip's investigation when the subsequent chapters release. For fans of classic point-and-click games or those seeking an engrossing narrative in VR, this is a no-brainer recommendation."
The Call of Duty Black Ops 6 live-action reveal trailer has released and it confirms the date for a worldwide gameplay reveal.
Well then, this ought to be interesting.
Top 20 software Wii - 7 games (5 exclusives)
Xbox 360 - 6 games (2 exclusives)
PS3 4 games (1 exclusive)
Whatever happened to that fable that PS3 exclusives sell less because they are spread out? This chart shows xbox 360 software 8 million units ahead of PS3 software for 2011 and over 90 million ahead overall (maths never lies, ever!! Not even if there's a fire!)
In a year that PS3 had more games available, X360 sold more games in total.
Overall attach rates are as follows:
Xbox 360 - 9,34 games per console
PS3 - 8,36 games per console
In lamen's terms, the average Xbox 360 owner buys more games than the average PS3 owner.
Lastly, in the Top 100 for 2011 there are 9 Xbox 360 exclusives and 8 PS3 exclusives.
Well then, how about that? I thought more exclusives meant more exclusives sold? Clearly not huh?
its getting hot in here boy... Im seeing no cheques from any of these corps so all i ask for is more games to choose from....Play nice fellas;)
Keep in mind that VgChartz tracks sold-to-consumer. PS3 is the true winner of 2011.
@FinancialGamer
the 360 software numbers for the year are a few million ahead of the PS3 because every 360 with Kinect was bundled with Kinect Advenetures.
8,080,625 Kinect Adventures sold(bundled). So lets subtract that from the 2011 total and find out the real number!
155,606,506 - 8,080,625 = 147,525,881.
So a statistical tie with the PS3 software sales for the year.
So I think its safe to say ps3 has outsold 360 again and the lead is about 3 million. But lets also keep in mind that Sony's fiscal year isn't out yet.
Gosh, just play games and stop arguing.
