Elder Scrolls 6: 10 Improvements We Want To See

Reith writes: "Of all the games of 2011, Skyrim is the one that is still on everyone’s mind. Despite getting a huge amount of fanfare when it released back in November, I still hear countless people getting excited about it. There’s no doubt that it’s an impressive achievement in game design, but there is no such thing as perfection. When the Elder Scrolls 6 comes around in a few year’s time (which it no doubt will), here are ten improvements we’d like to see made to this already phenomenal game series."

Maybe this should be titled Skryim DLC - improvements we wanna see. If we're going to look at elder scrolls 6 then we're basically skipping ahead a whole generation so why not skip ahead two, or three, or fifteen?

What I want to see in elder scrolls XIII. I'd like to see improved combat with less bugs. Who's had enough of the sony BrainStation 3 completely misreading your thoughts of "grind that stone" with "mind that bone" only to have your character walk eighteen miles to avoid a skull! Less bugs please bethesda! And better combat!!!

Seriously let's take a freaking break. They've just finished sculpting a virtual world for us to break and complain about while simultaneously masturbating over how much it rocks - I think they deserve five minutes before we hound them about what they did wrong.

How about we see a fully playable PS4 version with no game breaking bugs?

Not having to click through 10+ pages to read an article that could have just as easily been on one page.

I would like to see more Destruction magic so it will give me more of a reason to play as a mage

You really only have Fire, Frost and Shock....what about Earth, Wind, Posioness attacks

I think the next game should let you build your own house, since the game will probably be even bigger, maybe give us the option to create our own small city.

Oh and they have to do something about the soul enchanting thing, it's the one thing that actually puts me off using enchanted weapons such as staffs. Of all the things they got rid of and that was the one thing I wanted to see go.

I know they were trying to expandtheir audience in SKyrim and they didn't do too much damage to the core gameplay but enough is enough Bethesda....don't dumb it down anymore.

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22941d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko41d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave41d ago (Edited 41d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
