Top 20 Xbox Live Arcade Games of 2011

From the PlanetXbox360.com feature article:

"While 2011 brought us a number of outstanding retail games, it also opened the doors for several great downloadable efforts. Xbox Live Arcade saw its fair share of these games this year, with such innovative titles as Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, Daytona USA, From Dust, and Torchlight. Surprisingly enough, those titles in particular managed to barely JUST miss being in our top 20 Xbox Live Arcade games of 2011 list. It was THAT close, people. But the ones we did pick are phenomenal efforts in their own part, whether they’re a high-end remake of an old favorite or a brand new game that ushered in a new kind of competitiveness. They’re all wonderful So sit back, relax, and enjoy our little countdown!"

WOW what a year of arcade gaming, hope 2012 is as bright!

Yi-Long4528d ago

...although not as good as 2009 and 2010.

Also, although ilomilo was available for some in late 2010, it was officially released in 2011, and thus should have made the list.

Also, where's the excellent Sonic CD port on this list? For once a very good HD port from Sega, which even has both the US as well as the JP/EU soundtrack, and it's only 400MSP!

Couldn't agree more with the top 3 choices...

Fyflin4528d ago

I personally would have added ilomilo, from dust and toy soldiers:cold war!

Bastion is only 600 ms points today only. Its a pretty good deal.

I finished Bastion earlier today, actually (on Steam, but whatever). What a game, truly a masterpiece, a must buy if ever there was one.

No one cares. The whole can it run Crysis is old, dead and stupid. It's also irrelevant, considering only less than one percent of pc owners, own a high-end PC. Second, I believe Crysis wasn't even optimized properly.

Crysis blew my mind back then and still kinda does.

Let's hope the modders can get the other Crysis games working in VR as they use the same Cryengine.
